The actor, who played Freddy Thorne, had other commitments, as no one knew if BBC were going for Season 2. It's a shame really, he was Tommy's conscience.

Well if you remember young Shireen told us about the dance of the dragons early in got and the history and lore covered it too. Regardless of having seen all that and read all the books, it's only the main points we know for sure. We only know what happened from biased histories written by maesters... The truth of what happened and what the character motivations were, we are all learning for the first time. This show is so good. Rhaenys and Meleys 💔

I honestly get the feeling that when this program started out as an H.B.O. series just like the other two, which had incredible budgets, something was lost when it became an Apple T.V. series. Whether they just wanted to finish and get it over with. With only 9 episodes when the others had 10 and considering that this one deals with way more material and people, persons and units, it seems really abridged, abbreviated and compressed. Even the CG seems rushed. It’s sad because only people with money, Spielberg and Hanks, interested in stories like these can get them made. Studios don’t like these stories, they don’t make money.

I'm so worried about spoiling things by saying "Oh, X is such a great character!" because even comments like that make insinuations. But Richard Harrow is a great character. The Phantom of the Opera music playing and the transition to Lucy watching "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" is absolutely SUBLIME.

Trust everyone HATES how they skipped over D-day. They really rushed this episode, introducing the Red Tails and the time jumps in the camp. Episode 9 is really good though, so don't worry.
@ChienaAvtzonКүн бұрын
It is not even so much that the episode was rushed, but rather that it actually skipped over a major event in September 1944 that would have tied everything together. Not to mention, explain the next time jump and connect this episode to the finale better. Plus I thought it was offensive, to use the Tuskegee Airmen a last-ditch effect to give Cleven character development.

34:09 IMO that is exactly where this show could have been a lot better. 1-6 episodes intense, suspenseful and thrilling. Once it started to heat up - series ends in quick wrap up in 7-9 episodes 😁

In BoB, the artillery batteries at.Brecourt were firing on the allied troops 12:45 landing on the beaches. That assault taking out the guns surely saved the lives of many men living the horror of having to advance from the sea up to and beyond the fortified positions held by the Nazis.

It's crazy how you're watching Boardwalk and Peaky Blinders at the same time. They both aired around the same time too. There was even talk of a crossover in season 2-3 of boardwalk with peaky blinders. Also no spoilers, but i feel peaky blinders season 4 took the main bad guy's characteristics from boardwalk season 3 bad guy. Even how they solved the problem was the same in both shows.

We finally get to meet the 2nd half of the Dynamic Duo -- Meyer Lansky. Meyer and Lucky are best buds. Both kick up to Rothstein. They are part of the younger generation of mobsters looking to make their way in the world. On the other hand, you have Richard and Jimmy. They establish a bond immediately. "Real recognize real" so to speak.

'Was there some racial tension there?' If you have to ask then the producers didn't do a very good job. The American armed forces were segregated during world war two. The African American servicemen ALWAYS had to deal with racial tensions. Read about the Bamber Bridge race riots.

This happens to be one of my favorite movies. It’s a movie you can watch over and over again i never get tired of it and yes, it is a movie about a murder case, but it is also a movie about human behavior subtly but about human behavior in my opinion if you would like to watch some more great movies I would recommend To Kill a Mockingbird, a anatomy of a Murder and also The Best Years of Our Lives three really great movies. On the Waterfront.
