Defend skill, if I remember correctly he always follows Gravija with Terra Break so that's how i knew when to defend.

back when i recorded this i had my capture card hooked up to my computer and was playing in a super small window with over a second of input delay lol

omega weapon uses a patern so one you figure that out you can guess what attack he will use

ultima from ultima weapon, rest of it just went to island of heaven and hell alot for drawing.

@toxicwaste920 you actually fought ultima weapon, who's not much of a challange.Omage Weapon is the strongest Monster of Final Fantasy 8, and much more difficult to slay.

Beating this boss at low level is much easier than with a party at lvl 100 because he will have much more HP to deal with

I leveled ifrit with edea when you get her for that short peroid of time. Just killed party members and lvled ifrit high enough to ammo refine.

i understand, i want eva 30% to attack with limits break with one hp after megido flame, and you can use lion heart more often with 1 HP.

wow the way you fought him was so cool. I fought him when I was inside the deep sea research. I did not really have a strategy, i just thought.. hey why not try? lol I got lucky probably that he hit me too hard then squall did a lionheart and i got 100 megaelixirs. Then I used cerberus to do triple on protect and shell... I did not have holywars because I do not know where to get it.. thats it.. not much of a strategy lol!

No I do not have a pocket station, if you checked the beginning i showed my junctions and those are the ones i basically HAD to use to pull that off well besides auto haste

@jmd620 eh,defend blocks physicals only.invincibility really is the cheaper way to do it.

it doesnt matter what level your characters are at this point because you can max out the stats of your character by playing cards with CC members on ragnarok, in this way you dont even need a junction (except for death)

True but I didn't want to manually recast it when it ran up but then again that may save some time with x-potions I dunno haha. Although my evade stat should have been higher but I didn't take the time to get tornado, but omega still misses a good amount of his physical attacks.

Its not actually a surprise beating Omega Weapon with Squall alone with level 7. Its actually easier. You just have to know how to collect magic, items and how to junction properly. Since there is only one character, you can use a lot of Renzokuken without any interruptions from other characters. But you have to kill Omega fast before he uses Light Pillar.

either way works really, BUT if i was going to remove auto haste i would have junctioned hp 20% on instead so i can move ultima back to attack be doing more damage

Hi!!! i leveled ifrit with seifer and doesn't affect the other chars levels. it's nice to have the lion heart in disc 1 and squall at lvl 7.

Probably, not sure if leveling seifer affects the lvls of chars u get later on though. I just did it with edea because i already had all the party members by that time.

it's my video. All characters are at their starting level, Just set up my junctions properly. If i removed them they would be the exact way the characters were when i got them.

If squall was lv 99, this fight would have been much eaisier. For once my speed stat would be higher, so i could also have higher evade state not to mention my physical attack would be doing twice as much damage

how did you get the lion heart? especially the 12 pulse ammo for the weapon, because you need ifrit at lv 10 to learn the ammo-rf and i thought that you need to lv up so your gf lv up too btw i'm at the end of disc 3 in a no lvl up game and i'd like to have the lion heart

Yeah hero, just a normal item makes you invincible for a short period of time.

I tried on both the PC & PSX versions... and even though I once tried to use a cheat to max out all of my characters' Spd to 255, OW's speed still beats me somehow. And between his turns, I can only do 1 or 2 Limits...

again, on the playstation version of the game, omega is LV 100 no matter what

Anyone asking how he got all those Lion Hearts in a row it's called "Crisis Level" it goes from 1-4, 4 being the highest. If you have aura, crazy low HP, his is 1 for example, you have like a 96% chance of getting Lion Heart. There is no luck or hacking involved it's simply knowing the game

Bosses do not give and EXP and for forced encounters (ie cant run) just card enemies

not if you only kill cactuar they give 20 ap per kill and 8 exp at lvl 8 so you can learn alot of abilities without leveling

Out of the most difficult bosses I have beaten in ff history, Emerald, Ruby, Penance, Nemesis, Ozma and Zodiark, Omega weapon from ff8 has always taken the biscuit. Nice video.

you did somethig, thats for sure, if this is the pc version, then no prob, Omega grows in lvl when you level as well, but on psx he is always lvl 100 with speed 200 and always ALWAYS start attacking with lvl 5 death.

gremistaman he has use aura. aura boost up renzokuken fast.. even u have a full life. my way of battle is use. holy war trail cast all.. =) aura squall. and zell. and selphie selphie is the medic squall and zell both battle.

He uses terra break after gravija. And yes all of my characters were at the lowest possible level.

Whoops, im thinking ff9. Card and use degenerator item (i think thats the one) on the few forced encounters that give you exp.

i'm doing the same challenge, but without lion heart (with revolver, i think eva30% is better than auto haste, with eva 30%, all physical attack will miss, and you can use haste manually. xD 5/5 stars.

What are you playing the game on is the ? really, if you are on the PC like the poster is than omega weapon is leveled up or down with your party like all monsters in the game, if you are playing the PS2 version he is much much tougher, level 100 no matter what so maybe that's the problem you are having with him

playstation version is always lv 100 get the information correct before accusing incorrectly

I was always a little disappointed that they didn't have a specific Renzokuken for Omega like they did for Ultima.

Use the magic Aura or the item Aura stone

Card or run away. Stone the forced encounters that give you exp. Bosses give no EXP, it's obviously possible.

I beat Omega Weapon the very first time a few days ago. I did it with no Holy Wars/Heroes as well. My party was Rinoa, Irvine and Squall. I had Irvine and Squall do the dmg, Irvine sometimes use Megalixirs and Rinoa be the healer/main support. Sometimes I could afford Rinoa do dmg too. Shockingly enough though, Rinoa got the finishing blow with Angelo Cannon doing 9999. :P

I have played this game to more of an extent than you have and I still didnt come out with 9999 health - I dont know if it had anything to do with the fact my highest character was lvl 30. But it might have.

haha levels actually have very little to do with characters in FF8. junctions and abilities determine stats mostly, and its not very hard to get 9999 hp. if you have that chocobo world thing, you can win stat ups really easily too try going to gamefaqs and searching for power save FAQs, they're really helpful
