I grew up having a Christmas goose for dinner. The next day the fat was skimmed from the drippings and then we would have fry bread. The seasoning and the rich fat made the fry bread beyond mouth watering. Have a wonderful holiday season. God Bless your family.

Merry Christmas! You are correct, there are a lot of homestead channels out there, but you and and Hollar Homestead are my favorites! It makes me smile that you all are friends and I can see you every now and again on each other's channels. I am in the foothills of East TN...here's to a warm up into the 60s this week! I grew up in MI and was 21 when I moved here in 1974. I have seen some cold temps here but not this cold for this many days. But, like you said, it doesn't last long and I never liked cold winter weather. Happy New Year! Looking forward to see what God has planned for you all in the coming year. :)

You guys put out very informative and realistic content. I appreciate that it is non political no bs and your kids are ready for life by learning how to be self sustained. So many of these You Tube channels are fake and just beg for subscribers and likes, the good channels are just fun to watch and informative. I really appreciate the fact that you are not doing You Tube just for money, I watch a lot of these videos and I won't watch if if they change who they are just to get subs and likes, You don't put out those silly daily posts to sit in front of a camera and and blah blah blah. You guys and the Hollers are great channels please don't change a thing.

Here in Germany we eat very often goose at Christmas. We fill the bird with onions, carrotts etc. Some put other fillment in. Then in the oven for about 2 - 3 hours. Do not forget to turn the bird for getting a nice brown skin all over
