If I do the same what happens the rye in summer ? Does the tiff tuff come back or does it blend. You mentioned you spray the rye out eventually ?

@@THTRT The Tiftuf will come back through but it wont blend nicely hence why its best to spray it out with a selective herbicide in spring such as Tribute

You will get some stripes outta buffalo with a reel mower yes. But not too many grass varieties come close to rye stripes

@@theaussielawn ha ha that’s awesome will stand out big time then! That smell of rye after a fresh cut with a cylinder mower is something else! I’ll be the first to admit I have been known to bury my head in the catcher for a whiff of the clipping every now and then 😂 The mow master looks like a solid unit too, that’s why I went with the protea as the weight of the machine would leave some fat stripes does a great job on my rye, hopefully when I lay the Tohoma 31 in the spring it also pops
