The metal work you are doing is amazing to me, I can't imagine doing that myself. You've got a lot of patience, and your explanations are easy to understand. Great video!!

I love them chevettes my aunt had one in the 90s spayed black alloys cherry bomb exhaust it was only 1.3 I do watch another channel of one but he got the one longer boot calls it oddy but yours doesn't look to bad body wise good job on the plate on the Inner wing im thinking of getting one myself as they are not silly money to buy a project instead of a ford and welding and fabrication is no problem myself 25 years experience myself

Hey Peter. Thank you matey. Yes a saloon with the boot. I have a white one which I will be starting when this one is done. Definitely get one man it’s nice to have something to chip away at.

I had one never have another Vauxhall although it rode nice if I drove in forward an left in first in the morning once engine started I couldn't take out of gear and select reverse so had to turn off so could put in reverse an same if reversed in with foot on clutch an start engine same thing couldn't take out of reverse to select first so had to turn off to select first then when moving I could change gears normally

I would check the dizzy take the cap of spray wd40 in there where the points are as it moves inside there and might be sticking as being stood that effects the running of the car
@JaysFabShop16 күн бұрын
Thank you Peter great advice I’ll try it
@petergrinnell250016 күн бұрын
@@JaysFabShop well the vacuum pipe runs from the dizzy to the carburettor and the dizzy moves to adjust the pressure advance and retard I think it's called been a very long time I've worked on a engine with points but they do stick and clean everything up and the plugs worth a try good luck mate
@lucythemoggy197016 күн бұрын
think your fuel pump is kaput jay?
@JaysFabShop16 күн бұрын
Not sure mate yet. Could definitely be a possibility to be fair. I’ve also learn the top of the carb needs alittle oil too which I didn’t do so I’ll try that also
@lucythemoggy197016 күн бұрын
@@JaysFabShop yh if it's the same as a moggy 1000 then 3 in 1 oil from a hardware store will do the trick, just top up to the bottom of the filler neck
