Shiva, you're the man! I always look forward to your videos. Two problems I see with this product, aside from the installation difficulty. I wish it was more clear when off and more opaque when on. I'd also be curious what kind of drain this puts on the battery. A darker finish when turned on would seem preferable. Although it can reflect the sunlight to some degree, it actually made your interior lighting look brighter when you activated the screen! It really doesn't block the light, but rather diffuses it. For me, for now, the folding sun screens are still the better option. I'd love you to try the Otrifowd sliding screens with the accordion style honeycomb material. To me, that one looks like the best option, for now, for those wanting either unobstructed views or maximum sun protection.

Great video. The nuances with the cabling are so so important and aptly broadcast in all your videos. I’ve recently completed a screen swivel mount in my car and without your video on this topic I would have caused some serious damage to it. Retailers should be paying you for in-depth fitting videos on their products embedded in their product descriptions. You rock

Thanks. How is the heat reduction compared to a clotch sunshade? It looks like it's just an opaque film and wouldn't be as heat blocking.

Good Job with finding new inventions. Nice Product unlike anything Ive seen cable management is the only problem. If there were less cables I would feel a little more comfortable with installation. Ill wait for Gen 2.

Nice idea, but a pain to install.. especially the wiring. My feedback would be to use the center roof light power and repurpose the buttons to turn it on, but would loose the use of those lights. An additional module could be made to tap the power from the dome light and keep the function. Either way is better than running all of those cables. The sticker install part is easy.

Where does that 12 volt of power go to? And how much of that 12 volts is drawn from the control box?

I hope one day they will make the accessory standard for a seamless look. If i decide to install this i will hire a ppf / tint installer guy do the job.. it requires skill to install a film without bubbling or spreading messy soaping solution all over the working area. I'm in the process to install regular tint on my model 3 2023.. and this electric one is nice but expensive compared to regular tint. Tomorrow i will remove the mini rectangle dash and replace it with a circle mini one… i wish i could get all the stuff for free like you lol

I can't see how this will do much to block the heat from the sun? It's no better than having a film or tint on the glass. The push in shades with a reflective piece work quite well. The glass roofs on the Tesla's are the biggest design floor, I would much prefer a solid roof that doesn't get hot and doesn't ever crack.

I really like the idea of this sunshade, but I am not that mechanically inclined to be able to do the installation myself. Sounds like one would have to take this to a shop that does PPF and have them do the installation.

I'm curious about the 12 volt connecter assembly. Do you know of anyone who sells a bridge circuit with the wire harness connections like the one shown here? I am looking to provide power to a 3 way camera rear view mirror device to model Y.

You might find something similar in Ali express but I would also recommend reaching out to these manufacturers (perhaps Hansshow carries the largest inventory) and ask them if they can make you a custom plug :) If not, you might have to go to the frunk battery and get power for those camera's.

Nice product you give such great detail making it a great project to install it I wish they made a power blind for the front window that would be great when you leave the car the sun wouldn’t get into the front

It's called smart tint. I was actually in the process of finding a vendor who would sell directly to consumer because they do not come this big in size. My 2nd option was doing a DIY ceramic tint

lol, I see a 20HR install and LOTS of CUSSING with this install. Reminds me of the Tinted windows days, always problems with bubbles and then crinkles.

Yes, we produce it, our ESS film is touched on the roof glass without glue, and the film is covered on the roof glass directly, no matter how hot it is, the film will not drop down, and touch closely. you know that the car's temperature will go to over 90+ degrees sometimes😀

Can you control the electronic shading using a battery pack instead of wiring it into the Tesla wiring? I don’t want to void the Tesla warranty. I like the electronic shading, but want to pull out my panels, disconnect plugs, and insert 3rd party wiring accessories. Thank you for your video.

I didn't open the plug but I have to guess it just has negative and positive poles with a fuse on the power input, so technically if you can get a 12V supply, you can hook it up without the Tesla power. Thank you.

Great idea and product but I’ll pass on this lol. I paid $1K for ceramic tint on my glass roof from my local tint shop and works great. No messy wires and etc.. Yes, a price to pay but only because roofs are harder to do.

I looked into it and it seems like a lot of work!! I really want the product but removing the seat and basically ripping out all the clothing seems like a lot of trouble and not certain on the benefit. They should just sell seats fitted with the ventilation haha :) I might still attempt it in the future. Thank you my friend.

@@Superman-xr1oh I have floated that idea to them. I told them to buy the seats from Tesla, custom fit the ventilation and sell it. They said the seat was pretty expensive, which puts them in a difficult position about how much to charge for their stuff. However, I have floated this idea to many other vendors and hopefully someone listens to me :)

@@ShivaSapkota Shame TESLA doesn't have it as an option or standard fit themselves. I live in Queensland, Australia and never use the heated seating function. But would love Ventilated seats!!! Plenty of other regions in the world where it would suit as well.

Stop supporting these thieves. They called themselves pimp for a reason. Last time they claimed they owed the trademarks for the rear AC also charging double. 😅 They resell for aliexpress. It’s been out for a year made by satonics at half the price they charge. Btw Satonics are also the creators for the rear AC. Maybe they approved the design but v1 from a year ago would short and turn off/on by itself within a couple of months. Most likely caused by moisture however they cover it for 2 years.

Thanks Joseph! I appreciate the feedback. I was not aware of the Satonics product. I have seen some of their accessories but not this one. I will reach out to them and try to review some stuff from their shop. Hey btw, I am currently testing a steering wheel mounted cluster that has Carplay, front camera, shows blind spot, autopilot and offers a few UI options. The graphics are not too great but the funtionality seems to be there. I know you wanted some of those features and especially on a steering wheel mounted system. I should have a video out for that unit within the next two weeks. Thank you for supporting my channel my friend, I really appreciate it.
