Caps had the lead for all of like 5 minutes in the entire series. I was not nervous at any point except when Fox went down last game. I watched every Rangers game this year, attending two. This is how they play. They never blow anyone out and play close against everyone because their emphasis is on defense, capitalize on opponent’s mistakes. Think of a counter puncher like Mayweather in boxing compared to someone like Tyson who knocks everyone out. Boring at times but very effective and sustainable.

Capitals fought hard. The score and series results don't necessarily reflect that at least two of these games were hotly contested and Washington held their own or even dominated for large portions of the game. In the end though, the Rangers depth was simply too much.
