This has got to be one of the best reviews I’ve watched. I also watched your wash/cure/ dry review, which was extremely helpful. I’ve been looking at purchasing the wash and cure set up, and I think I’m going to get it now. Also I’m very curious where you got the files for the hand gun you used in that video? Is that from a video game? If so which one I didn’t recognize it. I wish I could find files like that for destiny 2 weapons. Most I’ve found are very poor print quality. Keep up the great work? Looking forward to more great vids! Have a great day!

Saturn 2 has a patent for uniform light on the build plate. That may make the biggest difference. Wish they would have released their pre-orders earlier to contrast before I made my decision :(

Good review , professional aproach , is it true that when calibrating the z axis it is better to use two A4 papers insted of one for this printer ?
@wangdennys Жыл бұрын
So the thing is it doesn't have to be 2 or 3 or 4. It all depends on your hands. Some user has good success with 2 papers, some with 5 papers. So you might wanna experiement on your approach of how many papers you want to use.

About Lychee Slicer, it's only the preview itself. Next update of Lychee Slicer will have a fix, we got the information only few days ago about the thumbnail size change. (I'm from the team). We still don't have the printer at the office, then it would have been difficult for us to notice the problem :)

@wangdennys2 жыл бұрын
I would say print quality is the same. Mighty 8k win only with famcy camera and new ui touchscreen and you can adjust exposure directly on the printer. Do you need the extra feature on mighty 8k?

I dont recommend the printer right now, until they fix several problems. Mine also comes with screw, and vat broken. But the panel freezes all the time, and have issues with chitu and specially lychee. The resin 8k also seems to have issues and make holes in the top of all minis. For me a complete failure.

I have made a pre order on the mighty 8K, will be ani e upgrade over the mono x. Though one thing that annoys the F out of me, why are they still using plastik knobs that will overtime turn in to sticky knobs. I'd pay those 5 bucks to get metal knobs.
@wangdennys2 жыл бұрын
Really? All my plastic knobs still fine after all these years.
@sprocket55262 жыл бұрын
@@wangdennys Perhaps the quality of Phrozen is much higher than Anycubic, I hoep thats the case. I ahev the first monox, it was the first affordble medium size printer on th emarked at the time, and it kind shows to be honest. Melty knobs and actylic lid with stress crack.

Nice video. Wifi connectivity is nice and brings resin printer closer to FDM usability. One question - how do you set up a "dry run"? Of course no resin (and/or vat) but can you stop the light from engaging? If so, how? Cheers.

So far I’m liking the mighty, but it not playing well with lychee is a little disheartening, excited to see the print comparisons, I’ll be coming from a 76um printer so it’ll likely blow my mind. is the tsmc issue a software fix or is it just gonna be something that just needs to be turned off?

It seems surprisingly slow comparing to even mid-size printers like saturn. Might the pause issue be fixed by firmware update or is it hardware thing? Did you contact Phrozen regarding this case?
@wangdennys2 жыл бұрын
Yes phrozen team have watched my video. And it only mechanical timing, easy to fix by firmware update. And fyi i never print fast. My average print setting is 1hour for 1cm tall object. I have faster print setting. But i just dont like fast print. And keep in mind the setting is for 0.02mm layer height. The usual 0.05mm layer height that most people use only takes 2++ hours to print the same object in the video.
@fafelnet2 жыл бұрын
@@wangdennys Thx for replying! Yes, I am aware of the layer height, considering this and layer count I was comparing times to my printers. Maybe you can share print times for your stability test for other layer heights (0.04 / 0.05) ? Speed (not compromising quality) is important factor for me when printing commissions and now got doubts if ordering $850 Mighty was justified comparing to $500 Saturn 2.

@wangdennys2 жыл бұрын
Photon x? Do you mean mono x with 50um xy resolution and not working antialiasing. Mighty 8k has 28um resolution. So definitely mighty 8k is better in details and antialiasing.
@predragbalorda2 жыл бұрын
@@wangdennys antialiasing is working just fine and has been for over a year, maybe you're just out of touch? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ocd6dNuQr9PNdGQ.html So the resolution alone is worth the huge price difference in your oppinion? Then I'll wait for photon ultra x...
@wangdennys2 жыл бұрын
@@predragbalorda no it's not. That video clearly printed the object at different angle to hide the voxel. There are hundreds of monox user in fb group that can confirm the aa doesnt work at all. I have been testing the aa like crazy, even the photon mono 4k aa doesnt work. You can check my video mighty 4k vs monox video which is already at newer firmware compare to the video you share. Photon ultra xy resolution is only 80um and i can see in several facebook group the print result on mono x is much better compare to ultra. Is it worth it or not, it depends. Do you need to print very high detail object or not, or you need aa or not. In my field of work i need the details and aa, so imo it worth the price.
