Chris’ voice was an unbelievably powerful and true force of nature. His entire career was loaded with absolute vocal fire.

Not just hardest intro to a song and video. Hardest intro to a band. This was their first single as a band. Most supergroups don’t pan out. We only remember the few that are successful but there are a lot that just don’t work. As a RATM and Soundgarden fan at the time when this group was forming I was hoping for the best but expecting something mediocre just to keep my expectations in check. I cannot stress how exciting it was to watch this video premiere. They didn’t leave a second for anyone to doubt whether or not this supergroup was going to work. They put out a lot of great music but nothing will top that first single for me.

3/4 of Rage is in this band, with Chris Motherfu**in Cornell, of Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog fame. It couldn't fail, and it, in fact, KILLED.

This video is about Audioslave forming & becoming a band. Chris is up top waiting and the others arrive in a pickup truck. They meet at the top and solidify it with a group band hug at the end. Chris came directly from rehab to shoot this video, his nerves must’ve been crazy!

Chris had a four octave range and the ability to rock heavy and sing with so much emotion. He sang with his heart and soul. Brian Johnson doesn't even come close.

Hell yeah!! Cochise is a certified banger!! If this song doesn't get you jumping in the mosh pit, nothing will. Mr. Cornell delivers one of the most epic screams in rock history. All of RAM is in this band minus the lead singer, Zach. The helicopter sound is Tom Morello's guitar.

Chris Cornell is a vocal master and musical legend! I got to see him live a few years before he passed. I will never forget that concert, feel blessed to have been there.

I said it on Like A Stone and I’ll say it here. You need to go deep into Chris Cornell’s music. Probably one of the strongest voices ever. His range was all over the place. He has a load of solo projects doing acoustic cover songs, including Michael Jackson, Prince, etc. He has a few solo CDs just as Chris Cornell, but his main band was Soundgarden. So many amazing songs on his one Temple Of The Dog album, and of course Audioslave. Check out Outshined from Soundgarden. Say Hello To Heaven and Hunger Strike from Temple of The Dog. Just way too many to mention.

You don’t know what you’re in for. Chris did three albums with Audioslave, five with Soundgarden, one with Temple of the Dog, and four solo albums. Chris was a master songwriter and musician as well as an incredibly strong singer with a rare four-octave range. So many good songs, both acoustic and electric and both live and studio versions.

This was filmed in San Fernando Valley in the Sepulveda Basin. I was on my way home from work and saw the fireworks from the freeway. That night on the local news they said that light you saw was a music video being filmed by the group Audioslave. I saw the video and was in love. RIP Chris Cornell

As a fellow wearer of eyeglasses, you know a song hits hard when you have to hold your glasses on your head because it hits so hard... also, the how much money did they spend on fireworks line killed me. Chris checked out of rehab, went and filmed this video, and went back and checked into rehab to complete the program. I had the pleasure of seeing him live a few times, and other than TOOL, his shows were the best I've ever seen

Funnily one of Chester's favourite singer was Chris Cornell. They even sang together live, and Chester sang on Chris's funeral. They both died of suicide the same year.
