I first heard this song when Sinead O’Connor and in my opinion Chris does the greatest version. God music lost such a great voice when Chris passed. I’m a card carrying member of the Grunge Era and I was introduced to Soundgarden when I was 16 years old allllllllllll the way back in 1993. You should check out the song he does with the Zach Brown Band called Heavy Is The Head. He also does a great live duet with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park of Crawling. Also the song he did with Temple of the Dog Hunger Strike.

Chris is my favorite male singer. I think my favorite stuff is when he was with Audioslave. Call me a Dog and Like A Stone at the top of the list. I know he’s already in but they would make great # 2 & #3 for you. Call me Dog live is the way to go. Like a Stone video is great for that one.

It's so sad because this recording was one of his last before he lost his battle with mental health and took his own life. Makes so much heavier. You can see the depression in his face.

I still get so sad when I hear his voice on a song! It's a one of a kind voice, when you hear it, you know its him. You should react to some Soundgarden and Audioslave songs! Black Hole Sun and I am the Highway are my fav from each band, but they have SOOO many good songs!

Chris does it the best. Everytime I say that, I get the sinead and prince fans yelling at me, but it’s true. Prince was a legendary musician, Sineads version was good, but even Prince agreed that Chris owned this song.

We're 2 weeks away from the 6 year anniversary of his death and I still have a hard time listening to him. My best friend and I were at his last show here in Detroit. I've seen Soundgarden many times but prior to that last show it had been about 12 years since I'd seen him live. She and I were joking around that his age must have been catching up with him, because he seemed a little off, but, we were thrilled that he still looked good! His last song of the night was a cover of Led Zeppelin's "In My Time of Dying", which wasn't unusual. He had done that song at a lot of shows! When I woke up the next morning and heard the news, I replayed the night before over and over and with hindsight being 20/20, we now knew why he seemed off! Continue to RIP Chris!

He has so much good stuff and of course he was in multiple bands but I really do like his acoustic stuff like this. But also I would say something really important, other than he also did a James Bond movie theme which is fantastic, is what he did not long before he died which was his contribution to this documentary about how terrorism and War affects minority groups in poverty. I believe Syria was the specific context and it mixes scenes from the documentary with his performance of this and its acoustic and it is so powerful it's beyond belief.
