You are correct, the live version of Devotion is better than the studio version which hardly ever happens.

This one of my favorite EW&F songs. They're an incredible band and this live version of "Devotion" is a testament to their musicianship.

When I heard that Gratitude had finally hit the stores, I ran down to the nearest record store and bought it, I had seen them live many times, so I knew it would be awesome. I was not disappointed, their harmony is as good live, as it is in the studio. For me, best live band ever!

"Gratitude" was a double-album release. The first three sides were live. The fourth side was studio recordings.

I love this version better than the studio track.This album had so many good songs and the feeling of seeing them live made it so much better.Philip Bailey hitting those high notes was🔥🎶🎸🎺🎷🎹🔥

EW&F one of the few bands that did live as good if not better than their studio versions. Loved their concerts then, won’t see them older; can’t ruin the memories

That Gratitude album was a beast! Reasons and this sing would get the girls in the right mood for slow slow dancing. Who knew they would have more hit albums after this one. They just got better and better. Best concert I ever saw and that was back in 1976. RIP Maurice, Louis, Don.

I can feel the energy of the audience. Listening to this, I can imagine the people swaying to the music. You know it's live when they tell them to clap their hands. And the cheers when Philip Bailey hits those high notes. I really appreciate that you are playing this inspirational music that has a positive message for your subscribers.

IMO, The GREATEST live album ever!! They sang it like this in ALL their live appearances...even today!! Hey! Don't stop the album!! I know all the songs following it! LOL!

What i enjoy this version the most was the emotions this version give. Then the change up with the rhythm & the verse of clap your hands & then it goes back to normal. Which makes this song & this version great for freestyle roller skating. The rink i had went too always played this version. Still have this classic lp. & others of E.W. & F.

Both studio & live are beautiful,but its amazing that they sound sooooooooo good live and Philip hitting them high notes live iz mind blowing!!!

Earth Wind & Fire were truly professional and displayed integrity in they're musicianship and artistry. I will always be grateful that I was able to see them live and to the hear the message they brought to us that gave and continues to give such elation.
