Everything Garth does is gorgeous, but this song is truly special. I proposed it to be my high school class’ graduation song, but another amazing song by another artist was selected. This song is the message I share with my 10 year-old child every say. NEVER, EVER get out of that water. KEEP GOING, even when people in the dark hate your light.

I love country music so much because of the way country music is able to tell a story in a way no other genre does. Especially "Prime" country (80s and 90s) . It's beautiful, and wish more people would actually listen to the words rather than making fun. If they did, they would realize the stories are for all of us.
