The song is not about not being afraid to be a creep or different. It's about a guy who feels like a nobody, a loser, and how he wishes this perfect girl would notice him. For listeners, I think, it's about being in that moment and feeling like that or remembering how you felt when you felt like a nobody. My girlfriend, now wife, asked me why do I like this sad song. I can't say for sure. Sometimes it feels good to feel sad, and cry, and just let go. I have nothing to be sad about now, but I definitely have felt like the singer did before.

This was the first Radiohead song I ever heard and it made me feel a little more like I belonged SOMEWHERE, even if it was among the other fringe dwellers.

Was having a shitty day cause of quarantine and all, and happened to come across your "Jolene" reaction vid on a friend's fb. 15 videos of yours later, I just wanna say thank you! Your love of music is palpable and it's really wonderful to watch someone else fall in love with music that I love too. I keep coming back to this channel bc you and your brother are so genuine, interesting and sweet. So many reactors seem like they're just going through the motions with not a lot to say.
