Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at another first time reaction with a PATREON request for Radiohead and their song "CREEP." Radiohead brings in a killer tune that surrounds itself with darkness, sadness, including thought provoking lyrics. Amazing vocals by Thom, killer riffs and bass. It's hard not to pass this one up, a 90s rock must! See my react now!

I've loved this song since I first heard it in 1993, as a 19-year-old college student. It taps into a very relatable feeling of not feeling good enough for other people, be it someone you're attracted to, or even someone you want to befriend. This is a song written for all the awkward people, the freaks who can't seem to fit in. The person telling the story meets someone he's desperately attracted to, but he has this debilitating inferiority complex that keeps him from being able to speak to her.

A total masterpiece, but I absolutely hate the awful animated video that accompanies it. It totally ruins and detracts from the song for me. If Derek reacts to Paranoid Android I really hopes he watches the incredible live performance from the BBC's Later With Jools Holland's show from 1997. Nothing can better that performance of the song for me! :)

Congratulations for finally finding the best band today. Creep was only the start of what happened to be an immaculate journey they took us on. Their albums OK Computer and Kid A are amongst the best albums of all times which is not only my opinion but commonly acknowledged by music critics around the globe. For more Radiohead greatness I recommend listening to songs like Paranoid Android, There There, Fake Plastic Trees, Exit Music (For a Film), No Surprises, How to Disappear Completely, Street Spirit, Pyramid Song, Jigsaw Falling into Place, Reckoner, Burn the Witch... I could go on and on, they're just effing brilliant.

I think you meant to say "The best band 25 years ago". I mean, hey, I admire Radiohead for daring to be experimental in the disposable age, but there's also no denying that their heyday was in 1997. They made one decent album and a bona fide masterpiece (the last great album) before committing career suicide with the ice berg album and progressively getting worse and worse.

Dereck, Thanks for this one. Again, a must-have rock, a title that must be in any disco worthy of the name. What he describes, we've all experienced it one day, whether we're (physically) lovely or not. We've all known an inaccessible (or believed to be) "holy grail" that made us feel weak, ugly, and ridiculous. Sometimes even in competition with people who seemed to us to have all the advantages and therefore gave us an unenviable image of ourselves. Peace, and please, folks ...Love yourself; you deserve it. N.B.: Dereck there's a French movie from 2004 using this song in an unexpected scene bringing together *Johnny Depp* and *Charlotte Gainsbourg* (Serge's daughter) and directed by *Éric Rochant,* to whom we owe the hit series "The Bureau" (Le Bureau des Légendes" is the original French title). *"Happily Ever After - Music Store scene"* kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gdWia6yAnMjMqoE.html

This is hands down a great song from such a dark deep perspective. I find it relates in many ways to a lot scenarios involving perception of a creep . Some people liken it to the nobody at school admiring the it girl from a distance to Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lamb type of creep. I listen to Psycho Killer by Talking Heads after this song. Could you please review Bloodsport for All by Carter USM.

Hi Dereck! Thanks for your react on Radiohead. Another memory of my adolescence when I was still in high school in the 11th at the beginning of the year 1996 cuz in France I heard this song for the first time that year on NRJ radio (national radio very well known for young people and teenagers). And of course I had recorded this song on a chromium dioxide cassette (CD quality) with many other hits of the time (French, international). Apparently this title "came out" I think thanks to either a film or an ad at the time, I can't remember what the host said at the time. Or probably due to re-entering the charts in the face of its success. In France, it will be ranked no.17 in TOP 50 with 16 weeks of presence. It will re-enter our charts 15 after from 2011 until 2016 (i.e. 5 years and since its debut 64 weeks of presence!) with some weaknesses for the years 2013 and 2015. This song "Creep" was released in September 1992 as the first single from their debut album "Pablo Poney". The song is about sometimes feeling weird, foreign in our bodies, feeling out of place. For the male singer, this is a true story when he was still in high school. He liked a young girl but she was not from the same social background as him, so she seemed "inaccessible" to him. He often saw her, even followed her (even going into “posh” neighborhoods where he felt uncomfortable) without really daring to approach her. He felt in love with her without hope of being loved in return. Thanks for your great job our American dude. 👍🇫🇷

This song quickly became an anthem for outsiders, people with low self-esteem and those who can't come to terms with being different to society's expectation of "normal". The irony and joy is that when the band play it live, it's a collective celebration for all of the hundreds or thousands of outsiders in the audience.
