BTW, So Hyang, along with her husband, and assistants, arrange every aspect of her live performances; music, background singers, staging, etc. So Hyang is a 43 year old devout Christian and gospel singer from South Korea. In her early 20's and newly married, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, which left her unable to have children. After being healed by God, So Hyang's goal has been to use her voice to bring comfort to people who are experiencing difficult times. She is not motivated by either money or fame. She sings for God. So Hyang is a published author of several books of fiction. She also lectures at a South Korean university. Voice coaches and opera singers agree, her technique is FLAWLESS and EFFORTLESS. So Hyang has always struggled with her health during her lifetime with those many illnesses.. uterine cancer, hepatitis, chronic pneumonia, etc.. The night she sung You Raise Me Up She just got out of Hospital and was advised Not to sing...So she did that....lol It's really a miracle this one of the most skilled vocalist of all time could be in such poor condition. And definitely she is much more than great technician and has Perfect Control of Her Gift...and Her singing is so special. If there should be only one word to define her music, that must be "Love". Current odds are that she’s from another planet, with an outside chance she’s actually an angel come down from Heaven. 😇 We have never heard anyone sing like her, or be able to hold an audience in the palm of her hand until she lets them go. Her voice is, as one person described it, like liquid gold. Perfection in clarity and pitch, and she doesn’t fade in the upper octaves, which is startling when you hear her hit those 5th and 6th octave notes with such _POWER_ it actually gives everyone goose bumps-and makes us bald guys’ hair stand on end! As she says, her voice “is from God.” She does all the musical arrangements herself (with the input of her musical assistants), teaches vocal technique at a South Korean university and speaks four languages. Korean, English, French and Vietnamese. Let me catch my breath. OK. She is a survivor of uterine cancer from the age of 20, just after getting married, and states very plainly that God saved her life due to the prayers of her church. But this left her without the ability to have children so she decided to dedicate her life to being a Contemporary Christian Gospel singer and has refused recording contracts from the biggest corporations in the world. She only wants to sing for charities, churches and while doing missionary work, to strengthen those suffering through difficult times. David Foster, Josh Groban, Michael Bolton and others have all eagerly worked with her when they were in South Korea or Japan. She contracted hepatitis B from a blood transfusion during her cancer surgery and it clings to her to this day. There are versions on KZfaq with English subs but be warned - you will cry. She is the most amazing female singer around. She is so technically perfect and makes you FEEL every note she sings.

소향은 괜찮은 척 단단히 서 있는 나를 뒤에서 안아주고 그에 흔들려 무너져내려 주저앉아 크게 울게 만든다 하지만 그것이 가슴 찢어지게 아픈 것 이거나 비참한 것이 아닌 따뜻함 임을 곧 깨닫게 되고 토라진 아이같이 난 못해 난 끝났어 난 쓰레기야라고 울며 소리쳐도 소향은 아니라고 넌 소중하고 다시 할 수 있고 기어이 해낼 것이라고 말해준다 그럼 어느새 정말 그럴 수 있을 것 같다 그런 확신이 들게 한다 마치 앉은뱅이가 일어나 걷고 난도질 당해 피가 뿜어져 나오는 가슴이 치유되는 기분이다 그래..신을 영접하면 이런 기분이리라 부드럽지만 강하고 잔잔하면서 격정적이고 벅차오른다 그립고 슬프지만 따스하다 난 오늘도 따뜻한 눈물을 흘린다
