People who was with Elvis said he said his leg hurt so bad and he felt horrible before the show he was dying in front of our eyes and he still gave his fans his all. From a third generation Elvis fan thank you for keeping Elvis alive. He was a gift from God gone too soon.

There was this nurse who said that based on his appearance and all the health info out there and he seemed to have been in the active phase of heart failure. So fucking sad. Makes me want to just hug him. Brings tears to my eyes

Imagine going to a rock concert and Elvis breaks out with a gospel song. You hear the applause. The fans loved it and loved him. Elvis was sincere in his belief. Soul. That’s Elvis.

Love your remarks about Elvis because I feel the same way about his singing and where he takes you. Elvis loved gospel music because it was his way to praise God and give witness to Christ. Elvis was not perfect but he loved God and tried to lead others to him.

I’ve seen Elvis eight times in concert and those were the eight greatest moments of my life. I’ve been a fan for 60 years my eyes first set upon him when I was five years old watching an Elvis movie with my dad ….my life was never again the same. I hope the last voice I hear on this earth will be his. God bless you, and thank you for sharing Elvis with the new generation.

Thank you so much for defending Elvis! He had such a strong belief in God that he almost always included a gospel song in his performances! Who else would do that? Gospel was his favorite songs to sing! Elvis got so much disrespect from many people and its so unfair! They dont bash all the other artists who got addicted to drugs, but so much is made of Elvis' drug use! He had many physical and emotional issues to deal with, not to mention he was worked to death! These artists today do like 3 or so concerts in a week! Elvis did 2 or 3 shows a day in Las Vegas and then went out on tours! Who could endure that? Ty...keep going! Great reaction!

This takes me back to when we lost him. I was 13 when Elvis died, my mam woke me up to tell me. We were both crying we loved him so much. He died less than 7 weeks after this performance. They were playing his songs on the radio non stop. This was played as one of the tributes. I live in Ireland 🇮🇪 it was night time when there was a break from normal TV to announce Elvis died. I still love Elvis to this day. Love your tee shirt. Elvis is the king. I envy you only starting off on your journey of Elvis. He didn’t sing that he prayed.

This is the year Elvis died, and these performances are where the typical sterotypes came from, but the vast majority of his career was not like this. It's true that he was having serious health issues at this time and probably should have cut back on what he was doing. Something serious was going on with his health in 77, he was pretty sick by this point. His health problems would kill him by August of that year. He actually really didn't like being called "The King of Rock & Roll" and never called himself that.

If you want him to take you to church, then check out his live performance of "American Trilogy" (the "Aloha Live from Hawaii" concert that was seen by a record-breaking world-wide audience of over 1 billion, via satellite, January 1973. It's pure "church" from his first breath to the final, spectacular note. The three songs in the trilogy are "Dixie", "All My Trials" (sometimes known as "Hush Little Baby" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic". Simply breathtaking. Mesmerizing. Don't know any better way to describe it.

So excited you found Elvis’ true being. You remind me of Blac Elvis the reactor. He was so funny cuz he couldn’t believe he’d reached his age and never even heard “Hound Dog.” He is now probably one of Elvis’ greatest fans, though he’s not an OG like me😂. Great looking tshirt, that's how it begins, small stuff and after a while you have Elvis all around your house.😊 Great that you defend Elvis amongst your friends, maybe you should invite the unbeliever to your reaction and we get 2 for 1. This is one of his last concerts, weeks before passing away. He's visibly not in the best of health. But what's amazing is that his voice never fails him. The power, clarity, intonation, and range are so incredible. From a rock n' roll/country singer? The smile on his face when he hits that first big note verifies that he loves this music so much. Your assessment is eloquent & right on target. "An American Trilogy" live at the Hawaiian concert is another breathtaking performance along with "Steamroller Blues."

Any song on his "Elvis Ultimate Gospel". His rendition of Amazing Grace & His Hand in Mine are lovely. Where could I go but to the Lord, He Touched Me, Lead Me- Guide Me, Reach Out To Jesus & others on this album are great. Of course, Where No One Stands Alone with Lisa Marie. I another gem is Elvis singing Oh Danny Boy. Tears are a given. 😊

His original studio version from 1966 is more reverent and beautiful. I fully agree with you that his voice is the central thing. I get so annoyed when reactors are commenting on his outfit or bling. When they pause it's at the best part of the song and they say nothing about the words or the power of his voice. The Gospel songs I will recommend to you are : "Who Am I?" and "If That Isn't Love."

Thank you for charing your thoughts and defending him!💚 Totally agree with you! There are still people , (whose channel have 1.5 million subscribers), who give the people watching, wrong quotes and lies to prove that he was racist. That post was from 10 month ago. Everybody, who does a little bit of research, knows that he was the total opposite. And if you want to comment on their video, they say that you have to share the video with 5 people. I would say, his music saved my live. I would like to know why you thought, you would never listen to him. My favourite gospel is *crying in the chapel* (1960)...no..."You'll never walk alone" (1967, studio version)...no..."Peace in the valley" (1957 Ed Sullivan Show)...😅 Love your shirt and your reaction was brilliant! Welcome in the Elvis rabbit hole 😊 Thank you!💚

At 52, I still have very vivid memories of loving Elvis from an early age. The very first time I got my own money to spend however I wanted (age 6) I got 3 things: my ears pierced, a Shirley Temple record, and an Elvis record. They were my favorite singers at that time. lol. I remember forcing my grandparents and my brother and sister to listen to those two records over and over and over. And I LOVE his music to this day. Everything I learn about him gives me new insight into the amazing, but tortured, man. How can you NOT love him?

I just texted you, but had to add another comment. That’s what happened to me at five years old. I was watching the last song in the movie jailhouse rock walked into the room, looked at the man on the screen, and when he sang this song, young and beautiful now remember, I’m five years old I don’t know he’s good looking I don’t know he’s sexy all I know is that when he opens his mouth, he reads so deeply into my soul that my life changed forever. Elvis has changed my life in ways you could not even imagine the friends i’ve made all over the world friends I have made through Elvis that have become grandfathers and uncles to my children. My son now at 35 years old went to Graceland to pay homage my little grandbaby who is five years old is in love with him I had the honor of that moment seeing him live waiting online in the street in sleeping bags in front of Madison Square Garden. With my mom at the age of 13 waiting for tickets. Remember there was no charge cards, so wait online and pay cash. In the roughest times of my life and my life has been a difficult one. He has brought me up from some of the darkest places a person can be. My life that day at five years old was the greatest blessing because it kept me alive all these years. Just had to add that God bless you and keep you safe.

Marvellous to have your personal thoughts, as usual. On the gospel side, there are many uptempo and still celebratory sacred/inspirational performances from Elvis - this genre, was, I believe was his main love. One sequence worth seeing - and feeling - is the video entitled 'Elvis Presley - Gospel Production Number ('68 Comeback Special)'.. You'll find him truly in his element

Please react to this Elvis song: "Let us Pray" from his movie Change of habit. Very beautiful indeed, filmed inside the Chapel. Fantastic reaction. 👍

Dude you are spot on about how I feel about Elvis. Spot freaking on!!!!! Unchained melody is something I have to watch him sing EVERYDAY with. You could see how how much he appreciated, loved, and just felt the music. It’s spiritual!!!! Even though they weren’t his original songs, he made them his. All the feels right there man! Hes always on my mind lol! I hate the documentary from Pricilla’s view. But I appreciate your view about him

That man was powerful. Those who can only joke about the "Fat" Elvis have no idea how great he was. The man was so, so sick here. But that VOICE! My goodness. Singers need songs, entertainers need only a stage.
