RM seems to be navigating a maze throughout the video, walking between different realities, wondering how different life could have been. The video opens with him at a party, looking out of place and tired. We then see him then walk into different rooms, each housing a different woman and one with his parents, all of whom seem either uneasy, upset or angry.

This music is not about depression, it's so positive. My Interpretation connects to Wildflower. It's actually the next chapter. In Wildflower he wrote about how he feels lost and he feels like he is in a storm. I think the whole song is about his creativity/struggles and the women represent it. He always talked in the past about the "pain of creating" and how he regrets things. That's why he sings "You are my pain" and "I see you (=creativity) come back to me". I connect that with what he said in his lives: That he makes music now like he never did: His creativity came back. The women represent how he struggled with his creativity during his career. When he is a "baby" in the music industry the parents represent the pressure and the people that believed in him and that he worried he could disappoint (he wrote in past songs about that fear). Suga was there too, symbolized as the tangerine on the pillow. They worked hard on the first songs together. He fights with the women, he runs away, he searches for them. In the end he finds his creativity in himself (he changes to the woman) and is finally happy. He makes peace with his creations/struggles of the past. And he finally is able to open this door he always wanted to reach and leaves the maze/fake idol live he was trapped. RM mentioned on Sugas concert where he performed this song live, that it is very important for him. I think he made peace with the past and found happiness and this way a new/real connection to his creativity as a poet again. That's why he "forgot to shower" and "washing his face seems a waste of time": He is in such a flow to write real poetry without pressure of success. I guess you noticed that this song is 6 min long. Actually too long to be streamed often enough to make it to the top of the charts (in US the songs are about 2 - 3 min to get more streams). I love the positive vibe of this song and feel really happy for Namjoon. As the leader of BTS the pressure was obviously huge. This break was so much needed for him. He seems so grounded in the end. 💜💜💜 PS: I think the woman and the kid in the bath represent BTS and Army, his family. Although it's his family he obviously felt trapped (his creativity was trapped), but once he found his real creativity again he seems so happy with them. 💜

I agree with you that this video does paint such an accurate depiction of depression, and that feeling of being lost and alone in your own skin, in situations you wanted to be in that SHOULD make you happy. No matter the place, he was the wrong person to fit there. That is EXACTLY what depression feels like. All the things you described, are my daily reality. And yes, I feel it it in this video, but I also feel so much hope. Ultimately, I think the song is about the journey to find oneself. Maybe that's creativity, connection, identity.. It's that seeking to know and be at peace with what and who you are, regardless of the expectations put on you by peers, culture, family, yourself. I think that's what the lyric 'come back to me' represents; the coming back to oneself. The moment in the video when he comes face to face with himself is when things change. He's no longer the wrong person. There is a way forward towards belonging and acceptance. And we are not alone in the struggle and our journey, even when we cannot see otherwise. Much love to you. The name of his album.is "Right place, wrong person"... this MV can have so many interpretations! I love the way they always make us think about life.... I hope you can hear this song with a positive view, because this is always their main purpose. Thank God you went out from that dark place. I had depression after get married and went to live on other country, no family, no job, I became a household. I used to be independent, worked in an area I liked, I had my own money... to become dependent, not finding a job because I was 50 at that time, my husband wasn't as talkative as he used to be while we were separated by an ocean... I cried every single day, but I noticed I was depressed just after a year. The first step to be out of a not chronic depression is to find out and accept the fact you're depressed. Congrats for all of us who got to be out of that dark place! When you remember that time, feel great! You got it!

My theory If you know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. He is continuously pushing boundaries. In way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

My take/impression - Namjoon's been sharing the last few years how he's been feeling lost creatively, lost his voice, lost his handle on what BTS is even, feeling burnt out - Wildflowers about how fame is/was like a shackle - and then in Yun he also shared how there are voices telling him what he has to do now to keep his status, level of success, "you're nothing without your team", etc - that feeling of disconnection from himself and what's happening outside of himself - even the parents at the crib - the expectations of others wanting him to perform or react in ways that they want - and then there's spring, it's always been there - my impression is that spring and the woman he connects with actually represents his muse or creative force - his connection with himself that allows him to be grounded and present in whatever situation he finds himself in - and then leaving barefoot (grounded) ready to embark on creative adventures outside of the box or limitations he or others were placing on him.

Here is one of many different interpretations that I have lol: Honestly when I was reading the lyrics to Come Back to Me and theorizing what the MV is abt what came to mind was Love Maze by BTS lyrics, "Trapped in a maze of decisions Exhausted by all the different chaos We’ve wandered around, looking for the answer Lost in the maze, in the darkness" I interpret the MV and song to Come Back To Me is abt how our lives a maze of choices and any choices is like a Butterfly effect. Also to learn to be happy with what choices we decide even if it is different than what society wants of us. To me it seems that RM is thinking abt what ifs and imaging different scenarios and distressed but eventually comes to term with the choices he has made and becomes happier...BUT also notice when he decides to come to terms (aka walk through the door) he still looks like he is in a maze, so he still is going to be making endless choices.

We all feel lost at times, until we don’t, for so many different reasons, that seem impossible to explain to somebody else who doesn’t understand, or isn’t living your experience at that time. Мне так жаль, что MV и песня вернули тебя в тёмные времена! Однако твой негативный опыт помог увидеть здесь возможно именно то, что и задумывалось. Не знаю, так ли это на самом деле, но название альбома позволяет думать, что ты близка к истине. Мои мысли некоторым образом схожи с твоими, за исключением личного опыта. Я думаю, здесь может идти речь об ожиданиях общества, социальных рамках и стандартах, может быть даже о границах, в которые человек сам себя загоняет, чтобы "соответствовать" общепринятым понятиям о жизни. Блуждание по комнатам, непонимание, как ты оказался там, где находишься, почему вокруг тебя те или иные люди - всё это в моих глазах выглядит как тот самый "неправильный человек" в "правильном месте", вот только кто может определить "правильность"? RM чувствует свою отчуждённость, хотя, казалось бы, всё вокруг в "норме", он теряется в круговороте жизни, не зная, где он должен быть, с кем, какую роль ему нужно примерить на себя. И эта дверь, которую нам так упорно показывали из раза в раз, видится мне очень важной деталью. Возможно, это тот самый "выход" - осознание своего собственного пути, своих желаний и целей, пусть даже отличных от ожиданий большинства. Сначала герой проходит мимо, потом пытается в спешке открыть её самостоятельно, но у него не получается, а в конце мы видим, как он открывает её уже не в одиночестве. И вот эта девушка вызывает у меня двоякие ощущения. В моей собственной интерпретации она - такой же потерянный человек как и RM, тоже мечется в поисках выхода, в поисках себя и своего места, потом они встречаются и вместе находят этот выход. Но за дверью - та же самая жизнь, ничего существенно не поменялось, однако, они уже не одиноки, они вместе, и, быть может, суть именно в том, чтобы найти своего собственного неправильного человека, чтобы почувствовать себя на своём месте? Но ещё я читала мнение, что девушка олицетворяет собой "проводника", некий глас разума самого RM, приводит его к выходу из его мысленного лабиринта. И я действительно могу видеть некоторые знаки в пользу этой теории. Не знаю, в чём именно правда, будет интересно услышать изначальную задумку, если кто-то когда-нибудь поделится этим с нами. А возможно, ответ найдётся в других песнях альбома. В любом случае, RM в очередной раз заставил всех задуматься.
