Well, you are right about one thing, those numbers do mean something, you'll just have to keep watching to know what that is. You will see the numbers appear over and over again. For instance, the flight number, which has already been mentioned in the comments, and the reward for Kate was 23,000 dollars, 23. I know in another comment you said you've finished with season 1. You might want to consider reacting to the blooper reel for season 1 as well.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
What I'm really looking forward to is going back, once I've watched the entire series and seeing all of the times where those numbers come up before anyone would be looking for them.
@buddystewart2020Ай бұрын
@@OldBeardedGuyReacts ... You'll probably have people pointing them out to you in upcoming episodes. It'll be after the fact so, it shouldn't be a spoiler for you.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
There's definitely one that I caught in one of the flashbacks in the last couple episodes. I don't want to say much here that's ahead of where I am in the stuff I've posted...but it was at the airport when one of them was getting on the plane.
@jeffcrass79Ай бұрын
I cannot remember what episode they first say the flight number so I hope it’s not a spoiler but the flight number is 815, which is made up of two of the numbers, not any adding or multiplying or anything. If you’re anything like the rest of us were twenty years ago, you’re now probably thinking about going through the previous 17 episodes and seeing how many instances of the numbers were seeded in previous to this one. I think the first instance is in the third episode, the Kate flashback (because the pilot was shot over a year previous and they probably hadn’t developed the idea yet) but if you have time to rewatch the ones you’ve already seen, you’ll find probably a few instances. The Lost writers don’t joke around. Pretty sure the amount Hurley owes Walt is $83,000 at this point. Which oddly is NOT one of the numbers.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
Ya once I get through with the entire series I'm definitely looking forward to going back and catching all of the easter eggs...and watching a ton of deep dive videos about all the stuff that most people miss.
@artemis25694 күн бұрын
@@OldBeardedGuyReacts Trust us when we tell you that even though we've seen Lost maybe 10 times, on rewatch you will always catch up on something you've missed which is amazing. After you finished Lost, watch the channel Lost explained, it's everything put together and it is so good.

It now makes sense that although Hurley had appeared on TV in Korea, he wasn't famous enough to be recognised by the other survivors...his lottery win was so huge that it was worldwide news, but nobody ever really remembers the faces of lottery winners. Love the scene with Hurley and Rousseau...and after 16 (!!) years without any human contact (aside from Sayid), I bet she really enjoyed that enormous hug 😍
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
It's a pretty good explanation. I'm not 100% sure that I buy it...like if someone in Scotland won the lottery and then came to the US it's hard to imagine that there would be news crews following them...but it's reasonable enough that I can be alright with it and not let it bug me. In the Hurley/Rousseau scene, it was nice that she got someone showing her affection and Hurley got someone to finally believe him about the curse.
@letsrock1729Ай бұрын
@@OldBeardedGuyReacts I didn't take it as Hurley had gone to Korea and been followed by news people. I thought it was probably just an American news segment that was being played in other countries during the 'international news' part of their own news programmes. Which seems very believable to me.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
That's actually a much more believable scenario than mine. I concede and withdraw my earlier skepticism
@adamscott98Ай бұрын
Hahaha Hurley owes 83 thousand dollars to Walt, not million :) but not a spoiler but keep an eye on the numbers, lost loves Easter eggs, I.e flight 815.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
Ha ya that's the problem with speaking on camera before looking those things up.
@Jacolini802251Ай бұрын
You didn't need to go that far with the number of the the flight. Is just the juxtaposition of two of the numbers 8 and 15. Once you you remember the numbers you start to see them everywhere, at the point you don't even need to pay attention. You just go "right there 16" and such. Looking forward to watching you go ham on those numbers.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
Ya there was definitely a lot of "OK..so 8 and 15 are on the list of numbers...and if you add them together you get 23 which is also one of the numbers...but that doesn't explain anything."

Sawyer's dad? We don't really know anything about his dad. Except that his wife messed around on him. Then, I guess he cared more about her than he did his kid.
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
I don't know a ton about Sawyers dad...but I do know how terrified of him the mom was. It definitely didn't come across to me as "your dad's coming and he might be a little upset with mommy. Don't worry."

This is not a spoiler but when you write the numbers 8 times in a row, the 4th is the square of 4, the 8th number is 8, the 15th is 15, the 16th is 16, the 23rd is 23 and the 42nd is 42. Strange, right? 😱😉
@OldBeardedGuyReactsАй бұрын
I know it sounds crazy, but I actually did something very similar to this. The scrap of paper Hurley picks up had the numbers written 7 times...so I was like "Maybe they're trying to tell us something with that. Maybe if I add all the numbers together 7 times, they'll equal 815"...which obviously didn't pan out. I added them. I multiplied them. I tried breaking them up into groups of two or groups of 5 and seeing if I could make the math work that way. I started to be like "this is making me frantic about these numbers in the same way that Hurley is...which might be what the writers were going for."
@youtpfpm6097Ай бұрын
@@OldBeardedGuyReacts I had fun with that too at first. So, it's not that crazy.😉

Lol, I love when people in the comments start with "This isn't a spoiler..." 🤣 It either ends up being a spoiler, or it's not, which then you don't have to say it isn't, it just isn't. Lol. This isn't a spoiler, but spoilers, it is a spoiler! 😜
