Fun fact: The glass box trap in the ending was created by the director's son who was about 8 years old at the time of production/pre-production. Originally, the room was supposed to fill up with water but decided on doing something else since it would had been kind of hard to shoot. So, David Hackl's son came up with the idea of a crushing room instead. In case you didn't know, David Hackl is the production designer of the Saw films and Saw V being his film debut as a film director. The ending was pretty wild and messed up but I like that idea better in honestly. Shame how Strahm went out like a fool in the end man.

Kinda fucked up that his an 8 year old came up with this 😂 Although this ending is more in line with the brutal deaths this series in known for. Drowning would've been way too tame

What not a lot of people think about with the revolver in the peep hole trap, you don't _have_ to be looking through the peep hole for the revolver to kill you lol I see a lot of people saying "no one EVER looks through a peep hole as they're opening a door" and yeah that may be true, but your body is most likely still in front of the peep hole the moment you turn the key, so the revolver is still going to shoot you regardless, just maybe not through the eye.

I think the main twist is that Strahm was supposed to trust Hoffman and get into the glass box. He failed the first test by proceeding in Jigsaw's factory, and then he failed his second test by following Hoffman and disregarding the rules. Hoffman also learned how to predict how people will behave from Jigsaw. The minor twist is that everyone had to work together in the five man game.

Strahm was my absolute favorite character, every time I watch Saw V Im so sad when I see him die but get the chills when he is pointed out as a suspect at the same time, loved the way he made it through Hoffman's way of thinking and figuring him out but still failed in saving himself.

Regarding the connection of the big game in this movie: in the first Saw film, in police flashbacks, the young detective was able to pinpoint the location of Jigsaw's hideout because of the fire alarm heard on one of the videos. That fire alarm was to the fire those people were responsible for.

I'm hooked with your reactions lmao I love how much you're enjoying the series. I couldn't stop grinning at your reaction of Strahm's death, I think that was everyone's. I loved him so much, his death wrecked me when I was a kid! There's something so sad about seeing a man that strong and stoic screaming so horrifically. No matter how strong you are, a horrible death is a horrible death. Loving these reactions!

He has a very small role near the start of 'In The Line of Fire' (1993), it's a great scene - he even gives someone a very difficult decision that they're forced to make. In regards to your comment about Riggs at the end of Saw 4, he was shot by Eric Matthews upon bursting through the door. Even though it was to the stomach region, I'm pretty sure it ended up being fatal based on what I've read online.

Indeed, and he was shot with a high caliber revolver. Meaning he took either a .357 or a .44 Magnum to the gut. Those are no joke and could have easily taken Rigg out before medical could arrive

I think the twist was supposed to be that the people in the game covered up the murders in the house from Saw 2. The house was renovated. At least that's how I remember it. It's been a while since I watched any past 3.

Your half right. The players in this game weren’t connected to the Nerve Gas House from Saw 2, but the house that Strahm walked into after the glass casket was shown at the end, is indeed the same Nerve Gas House, albeit heavily renovated and cleaned. Who knows what happened to the bodies of those that died in the house

I might be off here, but I believe that the original idea was that Strahm was the person that investigated the building fire, making it look like he was also involved. I really like the idea of the twist of this movie pretty much being that there is no real twist, mostly everything is pretty obvious by the time we get to the end. They marketed this heavy on the twist being 'unbelievable'. The savages, lmao

So for Saw IV the main reason why they showed johns autopsy at the beginning was to make the viewer believe that the film was taking place after the third one the major twist was the the fourth movie took place during the same time as the third movie there are a lot of clues that point to it the cop telling Hoffman about the doctor going missing no mention of John being dead it’s left ambiguous and Hoffman having a stuffed animal for a kid which is Jeff and Lynn’s daughter but yeah that’s why they did that sorry for the long post

2 things. First, that woman looked nothing like Jamie Lynn Spears. Second, that was a practical effect they used for the dropping head. There may have been a cg mask over the face, but for the most part it was a practical effect. Take it from someone who went to college to learn digital film editing, don't question the effects unless you actually know how the shots are done.
