Angel fish definitely have a good memory. I have 3 that are about 3 years old, they will all swim to the corner for food if my father is in the room. They will also hide from my nephew, he tapped the glass alot the first time he saw them and they freaked out. Next time he visited 3 months later they still freak out and hide, they have never done that before for anyone.

Don't worry, she's got Blue Heron pronouns. Goldfish can remember tricks for up to 3 months, and that's if they don't do it for 3 months. If you repeatedly do the trick then they remember it longer, possibly their whole life if you keep doing the trick.

@@natrosenquist Twitch has this thing called channel points, where if you do certain actions (like watching for 30 minutes) you can accumulate them as a viewer and turn them in for perks. Some streamers have making them do certain things as a perk, and a lot of them will have "put on a hat" as a perk, and they will keep putting on more as more people choose the option until they have a stack on their head. There are also some streamers that make the option only for paid tips or paid subscribers, the premise still stands though.

"what is it with people and owning things" property is an extension of yourself. when someone's house is broken into, they feel violated. because to an extend, *they* have been broken into. by amassing property, you expand yourself in different ways. and by owning livestock, you gain power relative to that live stock. with a dog that is well trained, all the powers of the dog are entirely at your disposal. with cows and chickens, you can feed yourself for years as they take things you cannot, or should not, eat and turn them into milk, eggs and cheese. this is why so many people want to own things like alligators and tigers. because on a very primal level, they feel that owning the animal makes them like the animal. of course, a tiger is not domesticated, so you cannot use it in the way you can use a dog, or a horse, but the people who get these animals as pets typically aren't that introspective.

Well ye, all birds are a type of dinosaur. Theropods and all that fun stuff. Also the dinosaur you are referencing is Jurassic Parks depiction of dilophosaurus. Which in that film is a lot smaller, stubbier, and whose skull shape is more boxy than the real animal. Dilophosaurus lacks both venom and the neck frills seen in the film, and the neck frills were inspired by Frilled Lizards for dramatic flair. The real animal was about 20ish feet long if I recall and weighing about 700kg(dinosaurs are dense as fudge for some reason lol) and the skull has been made a lot more… robust? Yeah robust, the skull isn’t as lean as thought before. But ye! Also I’m not doing this too sound like an arse, rather just thought it’d be neat to share.

AVNJ has come across Luke's Goldies almost every TikTok react and never recognizes that it's the same person. Luke is the one using a razor tool shaving algae off his tank. He's a knowledgeable, ethical goldfish breeder. He's explained why he doesn't like using plecos, it's because they don't do a thorough job, resulting it the glass with patchy algae anyway. Whether it's plecos, snails, or other algae eaters, it's not enough to keep the glass clean over time. It might have to do with the fact that Luke's agenda is to raise the most robust goldfish, so he feeds a lot and then changes water a lot, basically the opposite of what MD Fish Tanks does, who sets up ecosystems that maintain themselves, Luke's way of min maxing goldfish keeping leads to conditions where algae grows.

Since dwarf caimans still can grow to over 5 feet, I doubt that the guy actually had the space to keep one. Not to mention that one lapse in judgement with a crocodilian can lead to limbs being broken or torn off. They might be legal to keep in some countries or states, but in my opinion, they should not be handled by anybody other than zookeepers who have training and backup, in case one of them gets grabbed and pulled into a death roll.
