A lightweight jighead with a longer hook would be great! A lot of places I fish around Coos Bay are either shallow with fish, or deeper with fish hanging around up top. I want to use some 6"+ swimbaits in those occasions but the jigheads for those are too heavy. And of course, congrats on the big announcement!!
