In this video I build a couple Skeleton Bowls, one with the CNC and one using traditional tools. This is a very unique looking bowl that's perfect as a table centerpiece, a fruit bowl, or for any number of other things. It's constructed from a top ring and nine "ribs" that fit into dados along the bottom. Reinforcing dowels offer a beautiful accent to the rim while the curves of the ribs give it a very organic and fluid feel. This is definitely a beautiful piece and looks wonderful in our kitchen. Watch the video to see just how it all comes together!

Loved it, especially the way the finish made them pop at the end! There is a pro-tip for opening out the bandsaw blades (from your outtake at the very end). Get the first part of the teeth unhooked from themselves, then the next, until you feel that it's ready to spring into its natural shape. Then throw it as far away from yourself as you can and run in the opposite direction while screaming like a little girl and trying to protect your face. Finally, collect it from the shop floor/wall/dust-collector/ceiling/neighbor's dog/wherever, dust it off, and install. Simple!

13:32 I have developed a surefire way for this never to happen to me again. I simply take the coiled bandsaw blade to the shop door. Open the door and give the blade a fling out into the grass. BAM no more sliced fingers or punctured lungs from uncoiling a bandsaw blade. Works every time!

I like the idea... in the new nesting craze, might be cool to make one slightly smaller than the other to slip inside. If you wanted to go really nuts you can offset the ribs to nest within each other. On a side note...I don't have a CNC but you make the idea more appealing.

Your videos with two ways to build the same or similar projects are *outstanding.* I learn a lot from one, but two approaches to the same project is instructional on a new level. I agree. I don't have a lot of tools yet, so I appreciate the second part of you showing it can be done without a CNC. Seeing both shows me how to do it now and later, when I get more big boy tools. Thanks for sharing
