I was searching through KZfaq depressed from the latest news on the Ukraine/Russia War, and I came across your channel. Your videos are awesome, and after watching more of your videos, I'm "hooked." Your videos are very professional and a lot of fun to watch. Keep bringing us your videos to make our days!

Got some advice for ya....just because that water looks like it isnt glowing much, the current could be ripping under neath. Treat all creek banks like the current is moving fast and watch how close you get to the edge of the bank. Also, when it's high water the fish are generally shallow.

I do a lot of bank fishing and boat fishing. I live next to a river that runs about 30-35 feet deep and probably 600 yards across. One of the keys I found to getting better hookups is to thread my bait on the hook. My primary go-to bait is actually large shiners. I don't hook them through the eyes or behind the dorsal fin. I actually start the hook going down their throat and thread them like a worm. Yes, it kills the shiner but in a swift water environment with a proper catfish set where your hook is above your weight the current spins that shiny shiner-like glitter. I am also not but about an hour from the Mississippi as I live in North Louisiana so every now and then I get to catfish it and I have landed some monsters from that place.

Nick, I only use two brands of hooks. Owner and Gamakatsu. They are both very sharp, hold a sharp edge for a long time and are very strong. I do not use live or dead bait only artificial’s. The difference between these two brands and anyone else is very noticeable when on the water. Good luck.
