I can’t decide quite yet if I was just an offscreen spoken cameo or shameless product placement for Suzuki outboards. They *are* fantastic motors if yours ever does call it quits. Speaking of engines what was the ultimate issue for your Merc that had you getting outrun by rowboats for half the rodeo? Was cool passing tips on spots back & forth, helping each other out. Those smaller shiny/holographic slabs like what your brother was using are dynamite. 6th sense makes a good 1oz slab. Still bummed I had to miss dinner with the family, but work needed me Saturday evening and I just couldn’t get out of it. Oh well, something to look forward to in 2025. 👍

It ended up being the ignition coil. Ended up getting an extra and carrying it in the boat just in case. I’ve been hearing good things about Suzuki. Yours sure was quiet. Maybe next year we will get the dinner in.

@@BooneBoys very quiet and turn-key instant start. What really shocks me even now is the fuel efficiency. From all day Thursday and all day Friday going up and down that lake several times chasing fish plus a bunch of hours trolling I drank less than 4 gallons of gas combined. My older 2-stroke would’ve run my 30 gallon tank almost dry. They aren’t the absolute fastest out there, but they’re way overbuilt and rock solid reliable. There’s a bunch of good reasons why in Florida and the Gulf of Mexico they have such a following. Next year for sure I’ll see if the wife and kiddos can’t join us for an evening, will be fun.
