hey bikeman! so i just changed out my bottom bracket (got the new ones from you), and when i tighten my chain tight it sounds like its grinding. i tried three different BB sizes (118, 115 and 113). the original spindle was 117mm, but i got the 113mm in there now and the chainline looks good to me. anyway, its a coaster brake, not a fixed, and when the chain has a little slack (like maybe 1/2 - 1" vertical play) the grinding seems to go away. do you have any advice?

Question bikeman! I have a carbon seat post. This seat post has an aluminum piece that is glued into the carbon. This aluminum piece hold the saddle rails. Now with some time and very hot weather, the glue that holds the two pieces became loose. And it does not harden if left to dry. What can I use to glue the two pieces back together? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check with the seat post manufacture.. I think you are gonna need a new seat post. I don't know of any glue that will work. You would think that there must be some kind of glue that would work. Check with Google "glue for alum to carbon" Good luck let us know how you make out.

All fixies are single speed because they are on a fixed single gear. You can have a single gear that is not fixed. I think. Lol. Great vid. I have a question bikeman. Is it ok to use 2in1 oil on my bike chain? Or should i use a specialty lube? I have a single speed bike.

we use a chain wax.. 2in1 will work but not the best.

That chain tension-r is bad! I've never seen one integrated into the frame like that. I had been using the weird caps that enclose the back of the dropouts, didn't like them much, so I took them off. Long story short, I want the ones in this video. lol

My guess would be that fixies are single speeds to honor the tradition.

Anyone ever use a bolt on disc cog? Been thinking of getting one for shits n giggles Don't have the cash to be buying new bottom brackets/chains/wheels etc Have a POS with no derailleurs and a poor mans SS set up lying around Kinda fits in with the "why would anyone steal that?" style of theft proofing =)
