Zac, you are to mechanics what your dad is to construction. Love these videos. The patience, the skill, it’s a gift. Glad you have the patience and the confidence to tackle these kinds of challenges.

Great job, Zach. People definitely appreciate that as you're fixing this stuff, you're also explaining as you go. Like you said, the way you do stuff may differ from someone else's process. 👍

You mentioned and I always use the highest octane gas for my yard machines. From the riding mower down to my chainsaw/leaf blower I always use the best gas I can find. I also use gas treatment in my tools at the end of their seasons just to prevent the same things you just repaired. Great video!!

I had a 98 honda 300 4x4, i had 27,000 miles in it when i upgraded to a 02 honda rubicon. Love honda!! And have to love that ethenol gas!! If you add seafoam to your gas for winter storage will stabilize your gas ands also best to start you atv once a week during the summer to keep the gas flowing. Keep the great videos coming.

On my smaller engines I exclusively run non ethanol fuel that’s stabilized with Pri-G. Even if I know I’ll be burning through it quickly it’s just my habit and I never have carb issues anymore. For things like generators I always shut the fuel off and let them run dry. As far as I remember I’ve had engines sit for 2 years and start right up but I try to get everything started at least once a year and empty the fuel if it’s not used regularly.

I had a Honda Rancher 350, that was the newer version of that bike, but was very similar. That air filter looks dry. It should be cleaned and re-oiled. That carb looks like it is getting dirt in in perhaps.

Tell pops to run some non ethanol gas Husqvarna makes 5 gallon cans there pricey but it keeps ur jets in the carb from clogging but also if ur not going to run the quad for awhile before u put it away shut the gas off n let it run till it stalls out

I run 91 non corn in all my engines, except my truck, and I never have carb issues. Even with saws that sit for months. Tell the old man to quit buyin crap gas😂
@glennbryant77126 ай бұрын
Corn shrinks rubber o-rings. Not a problem for everyone, but it was for me on a boat fitting inside my gas tank. Took forever to figure out. Just wanted to share the knowledge.

Corn gas feeds the governments work. Too much damned corn!

Zach wouldn't it make life easier if you taught your dad how to properly store his equipment or have you comes and do it for him. it is really weird how on some things he is so obsessive compulsive and down right anal and other things he is so nonchlon and carefree. lol he is so busy he can;t take 15 minutes to store it properly but he has all the time in the world to work on it to get it running when he needs it again. it is truly baffling to me.
@darrinbuck35166 ай бұрын
My thoughts exactly.
@jefflink46716 ай бұрын
Joe, quit already with the corn gas on all small engines. This is especially true on seasonally run equipment. Non oxy premium is the only non corn gas available in Mn, this IS because of politics. South Dakota for instance has non corn regular gas. I imagine other better run states are the same. Good job Zack, now bring the big stick to teach your dad. Fyi fuel additives are nothing more than snake oil, so do not fall for it as a replacement/crutch instead of running non corn gas.
