Sounds like you need an abba superbike stand or similar. Abba doesn't sell the swing arm adapter for the FJR so far as I can see, but the FJ Forum does. About £106 for the stand and £30 for the adapter (excluding postage). I've used one with my Thunderbird 900 for many years and even prefer it to the centre stand for winter storage. But if you can find a friendly garage workshop willing to let you use its equipment, then so much the better/cheaper.

I'm a member of the FJFJR Club but they don't ship outside of the UK. I may arrange for them to check the swing arm bearings while I'm in the UK in June. And see if they can fix the mess Yamaha France made or the front balance shaft without costing me an arm and a leg. I'm hoping that my friendly mechanic will rent me his shop for a couple of hours on a Sunday (unlikely due to insurance hassles). Failing that, there is a Harley workshop available to hire by the hour about 45 minutes away. I'm going to need the adapter, so I'll get The FJFJR club to send one to my brother. In any case, I'll get Abba to send me a stand as the delivery is very reasonable.
