It's not really a thing you can use to any advantage but have you covered the thing where if you chain headshot kills as a recon, your soldier starts counting each kill out loud?

Whilst not new to PC players, for console players you can bind individual vehicle seats to the Transport and Gunner control schemes. The D-Pad (minus down, as that's bound for self-repair) is entirely unused and can be used to switch to specific seats. This is great for utilising the Halftracks as an offensive tool, switching back and forth between the driver seat and the armoured 3rd seat in an instant. I've set the following seats for my control layouts: Left Stick Forward: seat 1 D-Pad Left: seat 2 D-Pad Up: seat 3 D-Pad Right: seat 4

I saw some guys taking a plane out with a flying tank

Today while playing Domination on Marita I found out that I didn’t know that team players sometimes gives you the military salut gesture!! *palm angled towards the head*

Playing on panzerstorm, there was a wirbelwind on my team. Stayed near the A cap, nothing special. But then another player towed a flak cannon there and the AA battery started. By the end of the match there were 2 wirbelwind’s and 3 towable flak cannons. They also had a guy with a repair torch. It was hilarious. I was in the StuG and if you haven’t played it I suggest you do. Anyway I parked myself close to them and sniped from a distance, and with all the AA I wasn’t bombed once. Got almost 30 kills and 3 tanks blown up by the end. So nice not having to worry about what’s above you on that map.

Honestly, I play medic a lot and, frankly, it feels awesome. Especially when you run through a hail of smoke and bullets just to revive some people that got killed on objective. Then it’s ruined when they skip revive. Seriously. It was problematic in BF1 and it’s problematic here. DON’T SKIP REVIVE IF A MEDIC IS ACTIVELY RUNNING FOR YOU.

Hey flakfire, I know I'm a bit late on commenting, but, did you know you can get an even better view of the map on the respawn screen, by either going into the customisation screen or pausing the game and then backing out, the camera will then zoom out and give you a better view of the map, this is useful for when you want to spawn in a plane and you dont know where the enemy plane is. Edit: oh and I love the videos, keep up the great work

Awesome stuff. >200 hours in, and there's still things to learn. I'll have to try that reload cancel soon. :] Others, like leaning and pinging enemies wenn bleeding out, is something I'm doing regularly already, it's pretty neat and useful.

The bushes really do help to conceal you. Had an enemy run right over me on the pacific storm map when I was down in the plants.

I used to play R6S a lot so I always loved to lean in-game. Recently I was just messing around with the game and manually leaned by accident (Xbox 1). I lean manually all the time now. It's so subtle but it's a game changer

Tip: you can actually shoot grenades out of mid-air causing an early explosion. This is very useful for shotgun support players, since the shotgun has a rather short effective range and the sticky grenade has a very long fuse time. But if you shoot the sticky out of mid air with your shotgun, you compensate your short shotgun kill range and the sticky’s long fuse time. Also, it gives you a legitimate reason to teabag enemies.

You do get the temporary camo on desert maps - there’s a dark yellow colour added. I’m not sure that it shows up well on all uniforms but Union Jacked torso is one I know works with it.

I had a run a couple months ago, with partner. I was a support, he was assault. We were cramped outside Echo on Rotterdam, in one of the trucks, watching the path towards Charlie, and the lower path out to the main road to Bravo. Me with my MG-42, and ammo, him with an SGT-44. We prevented multiple enemy pushes, from several directions. What I couldn't take out, I could supress, and let him take the accurate shots. Who ever got close enough to realise where we were, usually got shredded by my upped fire rate. I mastered the MG-42, and the -36. I miss them. Lol.

I can't wait, mine is downloading right now.

On Devastation there is another spot that you could climb (especially useful for Breakthrough) near C in the last Sector or on the lefthand side at the german spawn (from the German spawn pov) ... you can either climb up on the Bridge part and cover the most lefthand route with an MG or you can climb up on the still standing Bridge part and can some what cover C (in Breakthrough I mean)

Recons using the Pathfinder combat role can spawn on other squads spawn beacons The Krag and K98 with the bipod specialisation will provide really good hipfire accuracy when prone or set up on a ledge Holding health crate after self bandaging will heal you faster Half Tracks provide a spawn point for the whole team but only while it has at least one occupant. It's also the only vehicle in the game that can fully self repair. The minimap will often show faint white blobs near you. Those are areas that can be built upon. On Rotterdam Breakthrough; the first objective can be captured by swimming under the bridge. It also provides a relatively safe route to get behind the enemy.

You can use a boys at rifle when prone on friendly tanks, I’ve been able to destroy tanks with the help of my squad doing this. Disabled turrets are my go to when doing this trick. I also made people rage quit by doing this. You also can blow off tank tracks with the snipers mine. And last, you can have a teammate repair your tank if there prone on your tank. It’s gotten me and my friends out of near death experiences. Combine a prone repair with a ground repair, and it’s hard to kill you with 3 tanks shooting you. I had that happen to me once. At one point I got to one health, but jumped back to 26 in one second. It helped that the tanks were all firing at the same time. The load out: my tiger, two squad mates vs. two Churchill’s and a valentine. I won with one shell left.

If you're playing Support and want to use your bipod, but going prone isn't feasible, you can drop an ammo crate and deploy your bipod on that from a crouch. Not something you want to use all the time, but sometimes you just need that extra height to capitalize on an opportunity. (Might also work if you're playing as Recon with a Boys and a decoy or spawn beacon, haven't tried those yet.)

I noticed this a while back, I’m not sure if this is a known thing or not but if you get three headshots in a row without missing or manually reloading with recon your character will start counting in their respective language. Thought this was pretty cool.

If you jump out of a plane on the fjell map you can land on the side of the 'out of combat area' and have the highground without dying (happened to me and got some kills), on Hamada while move to the second sector in breaktrough you can jump on a rock, run and spam the jump button to do that same thing

you forgot to comment about the reload animation that some guns, especially when you are reloading an empty mag, can continue the reload animation from specific stages. For example, if you remove the clip and then switch the guns or use a medkit/any other equipment, when you draw the gun again, the animation will skip the clip removal and just put a new full mag. The same goes for guns that need to use the charging handle before removing the mag. The reload animation will skip this stage if it had been already made before you changed guns or used equipments, but this is only for the ones whose handle is pulled before removing the mag. If you do this with guns that pull the handle after loading the new mag, the animation is reset and you will have to restart the animation. In those cases, only the animation for mag removal works. SMGs, LMGs and assault rifles are the best examples for this besides, there's another shortcut in marita, in the corridor between points C and D, where you can climb the rocks in the wall to reach the artillery pieces' spot. It's better used by german team, to flank the british snipers and heavy gunners that are sieging the C or D points

If you want to manual lean on console, aim down sights and move to whichever side you want to lean with the movement stick and hold down the knife button.

I know this comment it from the future by about 7 months. But the throw back for the grenade is, way more than super effective. It has saved my life countless time

Well, pinging while down and using the communications is probably something people dont know because it was disabled for quite some time. When the game started of you could do that, but it got disabled pretty much until the the last 2 updates sometime

Don't remember if this has been covered already in one of your videos of BFV details but I was watching some weapon animations in slow motion the other day and notices that the bullets used in the grenade rifle gadgets have a "star crimp" which indicates that they are blanks and/or specifically meant for grenade rifles. Edit: I just re-watched the video and the star crimp on the bullet can only be seen when a new round is chambered, not when it is ejected.

You can cancel the reload in bf4 also. By knife or weapon switch.

I figured out about 3 days ago that you can shoot enemy flares out of the sky. Enemy flares are bright orange and there's a metallic can under the umbrella shoot that and the enemy snipers will be frustrated.
