The BEST Quality Multivitamins For Men, Women, & Kids

Here are the best quality multivitamins you can buy for men, women, and kids. It's all about the quality of the ingredients, how diverse they are, and the other ingredients listed at the bottom. So many store bought multivitamins use added sugar, artificial flavors and colors, and bad quality synthetic vitamins. The good multivitamins are more expensive, but they are much higher quality and have a more diverse vitamin profile, they are definitely worth the money.Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

I was actually in the vitamin business for many years. Both as an employee of one of the major health food brands, and a distributor for one of the best multi-level marketing companies who had a tremendous product. In both cases there was a lot of education on the subject of nutrition and vitamins. There are several very important things you have not mentioned about multivitamins or any vitamin. The first one is solubility. How likely are the vitamins going to be absorbed by your body? Many of the big ones on the market such as one a day, have very little solubility. The next one which most people don't even think about, is what's on the label actually in the product? If the company does not guarantee they will pass a lab assay that the amount on the label matches what's in the tablet, very many times it's nowhere near what you think you were buying. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, if the nutritional profile shows mostly 100% of the minimum daily requirement, it is not what you want. Why? Because it's just that , the MINIMUM requirement. Best example that everyone would be familiar with is the minimum daily requirement for vitamin C, which is just enough to make sure you don't come down with rickets. What you do want is a vitamin that is tailored not to the minimum but to the optimal dosage for whatever it's intended uses. if you are looking at the label and most of what you see is 100% MINIMUM daily requirements, don't waste your money.

Used garden of life multi for women and had a chronic uti for the few months using it. At 40 something, "at that time", never had one before, but their customer service was great and gave me my money back. Just because things are supposed to be healthy for you doesn't mean they won't react in certain people so everyone has to be careful. As always thank you for your very informative videos!

@b metrix The best multivitamin pill is 16 oz custom smoothie taken 2 a day. Cooked Oats 1 cup, grassfed whey 8g or other algae powder, kale, beets, carrots, coconut oil, berries, apple/pineapple, flax meal, egg shell. Optional multivitamin pill, vita D, K based on blood test, gene markers, other factors. Fat soluble A, D, E, K must be eaten with fatty foods (UCLA, Examine, NIH 2020). Cooked wild canned salmon 10x better than rancid fish oil. Kale/spinach folate is 100x better than junk folate acid. Meth folate is only slightly better since quality folate hasn't been successful capture in pill form (NutritionFact.org, NIH 2018). Any cheap Vita C is fine when consumed 2-4x under 500mg. Oil vita D 1000-10000 UI. RDA guidelines are out of date. AGE garlic 1000-4000mg shows crinical results in vessels (UCLA 2012). Zn under 50mg and Quectin Zn Ion shows promise in preventive fight against Coronavirus, SARS, Flu (NIH 2015). Good basic brands are USP, ConsumerLab, Doorlab, NOW, Soglaye, Life Extension, Puritan, Kirkland, Nature Bounty, UP. Avoid Walmart. These cheap $1 synthetic only fill in the cracks and can be taken biweekly. There's a lack of evidence expensive probiotic powder are better than live probiotics from fermented smoothie or kimchi.

Actually there is. Look for Nutrisearch Comparative Guide for Nutritional Supplement. They have tested more than 1600+ supplements available in the market scientifically. What you are refering to is the Bioavailablity, and yes most supplements are too mediocre including that Centrum which only scored 4.7%. Meaning 95% just get flushed to the toilet.

Thanks Bobby, I'm currently taking the Ancient Nutrition multi that you reviewed several weeks ago. What I like about these is you only take 1 a day. I bought the Garden of Life Women’s Multivitamin off of Amazon and didn’t heed the advice of people’s reviews beforehand, thinking nothing would happen to me. I broke out in a horrible rash all over my arms just like everybody else did. Some people said it was from the niacin in the pills but I just stopped taking them altogether. It happened only after 2 days of taking them. Just a heads up to those who might be sensitive to that and considering purchasing!

Just a thought. I have never understood how a couple of small pills can take the place of the nutrition of a daily regimen of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Yes, vitamins can supplement but are not to replace. The vitamins and minerals in organic, non gmo whole foods are already in bioavailable form and are the best way to get their nutritional values. Common sense tells me you’d have to take half a bottle if not the whole bottle of vitamin pills to get any benefit at all to equal a daily diet of whole foods.

@@mattsvoid well then it's a shame, because you don't know which company to trust anymore. I think this business of multivitamins should be a lot more regulated and controled. Because even though you try to have a balanced diet, there are certain vitamins very important like vitamin D that so many people don't get enough of and are severely defficient (with our current lifestyles, and especially after lockdowns, we don't get out much anymore so we don't get enough sunlight). So, of all the whole foods/vegan/natural brands that I've been searching on the internet, it seems like Naturelo is the best one for me because it's quite complete and it's more affordable than other brands like Garden of Life and Thorne.

I’m newly pregnant and just saw this after I commented this : Preggy mamas out there looking for great ingredients and no nasties prenatal, I’d recommend My Kind Garden of life chewables, My Kind Garden of Life Prenatal Multivatamins. I alternate with Garden of Life Prenatal Raw which has more iron in them but makes me nauseous if I don’t eat full enough a meal. So make sure to eat a big meal with it ☺️ Hope that helps for now 😉

I switched from one a day to Megafoods vitamins and turmeric, so much gentler on my stomach and my wrist and knee pain is almost nil. Now I also use silverfern multivitamin and probiotic, no stomach issues so far and I feel more level energy wise. I would love to see a probiotic review. Tfs.

Unfortunately Garden of Life was bought out by Nestlé in 2017 and their supplements now contain synthetic vitamins. I was wondering about it when I was about to buy their raw b complex and saw that it said they got the Folate & B12 from S. Cerevisiae. Neither of those vitamins naturally occur in S. Cerevisiae.

I'm curious, if anyone knows, I've heard that multivitamins are really not the way to go due to how the vitamins interact with each other. Such as calcium and iron in the same tablet reduce the absorbency of both nutrients. Any thoughts/suggestions? I wonder if a more targeted approach is better, and of course eating a nutrient diverse diet (which is harder, but probably ideal).

I agree! I’m trying to get more from the food I eat because I feel that I’m not really absorbing them and get side effects from them… I also want to stay away from synthetic vitamins and try to look for a professional line.

Calcium and iron in the same tablet def reduce the absorbency. Iron supplements are best consumed with orange juice. But no harm if your mutivites have both of them in the same gummy. Something is better than nothing, and they don't cancel the other's benefit. Acquiring vitamins naturally through diet is great but quite challenging in the long run esp if you travel a lot or work long hours during some of the weeks etc. Our body needs vitamins on a regular basis and so gummies are a good way to have them as they won't make you drink extra water. If you are not able to keep up with your 2 - 2.5L water intake then you may as well go for a multivite capsule. Unless you are diabetic, have dental cavities or have a sedentary job with long hours - 2-3 gm sugar from the gummies don't do much harm. We've been having gummines for 6 years now, regularly. ie. at least 1 every alternate day. I have 2 on days I am feeling tired or under the weather. Both me and my kids love them.

Yes I've heard of this. Also that imbalance in the amounts of nutrients can also strip or deplete your body of vitamins. I heard that for instance Zinc will deplete your copper. So if you take zinc take more copper. I would love an informational on this topic. I just found that magnesium strips calcium which is why magnesium supplements often include calcium. And why magnesium helps w restless leg syndrome. Because restless leg syndrome is often caused by calcium build up. So if the ratios of vitamins aren't right they can be canceling eachother out or even depleting us of others. I'm no expert by any means. This is just stuff I've read.

I prefer a multivitamin vitamin with much less vitamin A and would recommend the same for anyone also taking cod liver oil. Those two alone will put you into toxicity territory. I use Mega Foods Super Multi Organic along with Concentrace by trace minerals as well as a fulvic/humic blend and a potassium supplement and the cod liver oil as I said . The minerals and fulvic/humic blend are in liquid concentrated form and I add to my purified water to remineralize and raise my ph after using the zero water pitcher since that makes it very acidic by bringing water to 0 tds. Adding the potassium, fulvic/humic blend and Concentrace fixes that.

I have a question about the "Garden of Life Multivitamin for Men" you are aware that they still put pesticides in these supplements or at least the vegetables /foods so it isn't organic. Also Garden of life recently learned that the brand was sold in 2017. The new owner is Nestle, a company known for unhealthy snack products and unethical business practices. As for smarty pants According to the latest research study out of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute, consuming more than 55mcg of B12 may dramatically increase the risk of cancer. However, if I was to choose any vitamin , I would choose mega food. Do you have any input on this subject? Thank you
