It's pretty strange that food makers are using ingredients banned in other countries, and going so far to reformulate products sold abroad, but selling us the inferior ones. I guess it all comes down to profits, because these companies clearly know these ingredients are not good for us!

My brother was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2019 and had a feeding tube put in when he could no longer swallow. The first ingredient was corn syrup. I fought so hard to get him on the organic feed. The insurance dietician treated me like I was stupid saying they have that to all their patients on feed tube. The insurance finally approved one week after he lost his battle to cancer. 😡 Shame on (Nestlé) and other companies for the garbage they sell to feeding tube patients

@@lindaeasley5606 actually she's right, the UK supermarkets work on a different model to many other countries. They don't hold stock in back rooms, what you see on the shelves is all the stock there is and they recieve deliveries daily. Its timing is incredibly tight. It frees up prime retail space and let's them slash prices. The bagged salad you bought for dinner was probably still in the ground 24 hours before. It is good, but coronavirus showed its weakness. Unplanned runs on stock can cause it to crumble but all in all, it works.

I made the shift decades ago when my friend had to take me for groceries. He looked around and said "I don't see any food here." Even big brand chocolate bars sold in "2nd world" countries were so rich and satisfying, unlike the crap they sell to the USA. I honestly think the US gets the waste products after they make the good stuff for countries who won't buy inferior products, ie beer, chocolate etc. Even Ikea USA has cheaper-made, lower quality (flimsy) furniture than in Europe. I mentioned this to an IKEA worker last week who was from Eastern Europe and she said it was absolutely true. Our government needs to protect the US people.

Very interesting. I am German, and i happened to have Heinz Tomato Ketchup in my fridge. On my label ist says that it is made from 174 g of tomatoes per 100 g ketchup, 50 % less sugar and 50% less salt than regular Heinz ketchup and the ingredients are tomatoes (174 g per 100 g of product, vinegar, sugar, salt , spices. Since we don't have the "serving sizes" on ours , only the kcal etc per 100 g I actually broke it down to the serving size indicated on yours, which is 1 tbsp (17 g), so here goes: Kcal:10,88 fat: 0 g total carb: 2,94 g thereof sugar: 1,87 g protein: 0,238 g salt: 0,153 g Indeed a big difference. Now on the breakfast cereals Germany looses out, we don't have all these sugary things. We have some, but very few (all american expats complain about it), we are more a "Müsli"-country, you can find so many variations of it (Müsli = granola). But mind you, many of them also have too much sugar (for Germany's standards, probably still less than American granola - I assume). But like in the US, also in Germany and probably all of Europe we have grown more and more conscious about the ingredients, flavorings, colorings, sugar etc. I think it's a good thing. Very nice video!

One thing that I noticed when my brother brought candies from his trips to the US is, that sweets are a LOT sweeter than what we are used to here in Germany. I have a sweet tooth but when I ate American chocolate I could really taste nothing but sugar and some odd flavoring, I think it was Hershey's, it really didn't taste anything like the chocolate I'm used to. So good to keep being reminded and educated about US food standards. Crazy how food prices are soaring and people are paying so much money to poison themselves. Thanks for pointing out how Hunt's offers a better option minus the high fructose. I haven't drank soda or electrolyte enhanced drinks in years. In the US it's all about false advertising and selling making top profits for cheap ingredients that harm your body. Keep it up Bobby and Brad.

You shouldn't suppress coughs!! That's your body trying to move excess mucus. Most often extra mucus and coughs are caused from seasonal allergies. If you suppress the cough the mucus sits, causes infection, and makes you sicker for longer.

The first time he ate red licorice he projectile vomited, then I noticed that when he had a red freezy he became very difficult he was usually a very easy-going Sweet child but when he ate the red freezy he was angry and difficult from that point forward I only let him have the clear freezies and have warned other parents about the red dye. Thanks for raising this important issue Bobby. I moved back to the UK last year after 15 years in Chicago (ironically in Lakeview - on Oakdale - so I get homesick for Chicago & TJs whenever I see your older videos!) I downloaded your app when I lived there, so it shocked me how many things you warn about, we just don’t have in the UK. For example, when I moved back to Oxford, I kept looking for grass-fed/finished meat - only to realise almost all meat over here is grass-fed, which is why it’s not written on the labels. It’s the default. Same with chlorinated chicken and GMO. We literally don’t allow them here. I still have to look out for many dodgy ‘natural flavourings’, oils & preservatives, so your app is open constantly - but it’s sad to know the FDA isn’t protecting its own citizens. Glad to know you are, though... :)

Interestingly, for artificial colors, the opposite happened with Irn-Bru from Scotland. They couldn't export it to the states because of a couple controversial dyes, one of which is "Ponceau 4R."
