My favorite thing about this video is that you know Tyler is actually genuinely interested in learning sign language. He's not just going along with it to please Nyle, like he's doing it because he believes in equality for everyone. That's why Tyler Oakley is one of my favorite humans.

I agree. Even if you don't end up using it in a profession, it's still nice to feel connected to those around you. I'm taking sign language in college because I think it is important to bridge the deaf/ hearing gap instead of just ignoring each other

I agree, but not everyone has the means to spend money on a college course. I work in restaurants and i was able to learn some basic ASL from KZfaq because I want to make customers feel welcome, but I do not pretend to act like I am fluent. The one thing I want to know is should you say the words out loud you're trying to sign, or is that just confusing to the person you are signing to?

Fortunately, I am deaf... I do ASL ((for my deaf friends and hearings friends who know ASL as well)), talk English ((for HS for hearing but I have 2 hearing devices with my ear called Bilateral Cochlear Implants so I can talk and hear with it)), and talk Spanish ((for my family who talk Spanish but little bit speak English but not especially only Spanish...))

+AFOBGREENDAYBVBP!ATDPHANFAN There is a difference between U.K. and American Sign Language, so if you want to research into resources for British sign language then just search for BSL instead of ASL! There are resources out there, along with courses offered across the UK. In fact, starting in September, I'm going to be doing an extended project qualification on it (I've never learnt it before, so it should be fun!)

I'm actually learning ASL at my high school and we had a project on Deaf culture and deaf people and i chose Nyle! He's so inspiring and I also love dancing so seeing him perform on TV while not being able to hear the music and be on beat amazes me!

Nyle is such a beautiful person, inside and out. Whenever I feel down about myself, I think about how hard people like Nyle work to be successful, and the fact that they can overcome obstacles, such as being deaf, is so inspiring. I'm so happy for him.

This is amazing! I take ASL (American Sign Language) and it has opened my eyes so much and love it. Our class has "followed" Nyle from is Next Top Model career to his current Dancing With The Stars career. He is truly amazing and I'm honored to be apart of the ASL culture. If you don't know sign language I suggest you learn some things, start of slow. It's a VERY beautiful language.

I watched nyle on ANTM and automatically fell in love with him. he's really attractive, but he's also very open to those who don't know sign language and that's awesome because people should learn it and given the time to do so.

Thank you, Tyler for helping Nyle share how to communicate with deaf or HoH. Nyle is such an amazing human being. He was able to win America's Next Top Model and used that exposure to educate the world about what the deaf community goes through. Recently he went even further to compete and WIN dancing with the stars; throughout the season finding ways to illustrate his perspective as well as find new ways to push boundaries. I love you both and your beautiful hearts.

The coolest part of the video was being able to have Nyle speak to us through ASL. I know the captions are there in all the videos and I know how important that is. Being privileged with all my senses I sometimes forget the power of Tyler's accessibility and this video shows it first hand. Awesome! Loved it!

This video made my week. I only watched it now because I do believe that Tyler Oakley can make me feel better in any situation. I've been saving up some videos to watch on a really bad day. This past week had been a really bad week and I'm glad that I did so and I just want to let everyone know that I'm a straight female, 20 year old of age and I 100% support the LGBTQ+ community. I love you guys so much. Please do not ever stop being who you are because life is beautiful, you shouldn't have to hide. Know that if things get difficult there are heaps of people behind you
