Extra tips coming in as we go: - Put a bit dielectric grease (sometimes reffered ro as tune-up grease) on your motor cable plug to prevent any water to get in the connection. This is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical components against corrosion. It is also used to keep dirt, water, and other elements out of electrical connections.

Fyi i just started wateproofing my board today. This video is great and I can add that Tony has now protected certain areas even more! Particularly the wires around the power button on the inside of the controller

Nice Video! But bad timing, cuz I just badgered my adv 1 day before this video came out 😅 I did not silicone all places that you covered in the video. So I will catch up on that. I think badgering the motor cable connector is very important. Even Tony mentioned this under my video, where I rode my board in the snow. I used non flowable silicone around that connector. Hopefully I can scrape that off the next time I need to unplug the motor 🤞

Though I appreciate these guys uploading the video, a lot in it seems overkill to me. I think Toni did a pretty good job already of preparing this board for rainy rides. Also, the factory glitches mentioned in this video weren’t so apparent in my board. This video does not really do justice to the amount of work Toni has done for waterproofing I think. But nevertheless thanks for the video! I watched it quite a few times

The ptft tape isn’t needed I would argue. The way this designed, the nut will put pressure on the plastic fingers, the fingers will clamp down on a rubber ring. If you want to use the ptft tape it should be making the rubber ring tighter and not the treads. Great video for the rest.

Is there a reason the blank connector on the battery box has those gaps? Am I ok to fill them in with silicone?

I didn’t get how you manage to silicon the back of the charge port? You only silicon the black and red wire ?
