please note we cannot accept calor bottles at our store, and new flogas bottles will need a new bottle agreement
Here is a video of Jordan explaining the different sizes of Flogas which we now stock, in 6 months we have become one of the county's biggest Flogas suppliers of gas, as we now have a good supply of gas from butane to propane including leisure gas
The recent news of calor gas discontinuing the 3.9kg propane and the 4.5kg butane bottle, the answer to those looking for that small size bottle for their appliances and caravan, motorhomes and boats is the 3.9kg bottles from @flogasukltd or the @CampingazEMEA 904/907 bottle, fact for you that flogas are the distributors for Campingaz bottles

I've bought 2 x 3.9Kg Flogas canisters, both are completely different sizes and neither of them fit in my gas locker, which fitted the Calor 3.9Kg. We've now decided to scrap it and buy a 6Kg gas locker so we can (hopefully) fit in the Flogas but also have the flexibility of buying bigger bottles. I've spent ages on research, its such a pain in the a**.

Got rid of Calor last year. Invested in a safefill bottle, plus a small 5kg Gaslight as backup! How long before they pull the other sizes?

Some dealers stockists and agents have given up on being a Calor retailer due to slovenly supply and customer service problems they threw up during the pandemic, and they don't seem to care either that they lost customers, and dealers with Calor have noticed angry stroppy customer attitudes too thanks to Calor's sloppy customer service procedures / supply chain problems in supplying cylinders.

Is the 3.9kg propane flogas bottle much taller than the 3.9th callor. We have a Bailey discovery D4-4 with limited space!

I swopped from calor to flogas fully last year. I too have limited locker space but the good news is the flogas bottle are the same size format. And the other bit of good news is the delivery and availability has never been an issue even during the dark days of covid.

I'm yet to work out what Calor will do regarding the return of bottles that you don't have an agreement for. I've got 2 calor lite that came with the caravan so are both worthless unless I stay with calor and used standard 6kg

I have 2 Calor butane 4.5 bottles that came with my van, I'm in the same boat. I managed to get one exchanged a few weeks back so I'm probably fine for well into 2024 (van doesn't see huge amounts of use) but it's a lot of deposit to pay to switch systems

@@JackMitchell404 yeah I'm probably ok as I've got a full bottle and one that's connected thinking of going 10kg safefill as that's one option that would work, I could also use it for the bbq at home so would probably save money long term or at least break even

You can make a small wood burning stoves out of the old calor bottles

Sadly for us, the Flogas is not a suitable size to replace our 3.9 Calor bottle, as the smallest of their 3.9 bottles is 1/2" taller than the Calor so will not fit in our gas locker.

Butane burns hotter than Propane, the opposite from what you say. Propane boils at a lower temperature than Butane making it more suitable for use in lower temperatures.

Propane burns hotter than butane due to its chemical structure, propane - C3H8, Butane C4 H10. Propane has a higher calorific value which means it gives out more energy than butane. Propane has a hotter flame temperature, hence why propane is the preffered fuel for cooking / catering applications (as well as heating

They are gas cylinders not bottles. Bottles are made of Glass !!!! I need to find some one that stocks Gaz 907 cylinders near Spalding every place I have tried can't get them.

Calor call them bottles on their website. I think I'll take their word.
