Hi Dan quality video and entertaining as usual mate. The peace of metal with the hock with holes in it is a picture hanger . Top of it is missing. 👍

Good little hunt in the breezy weather Dan, some nice little partyfacts coming up there mate, not the best conditions but fair play giving it a go, getting out is the main thing, love the little tudor buttons, we don't find many of them. ATB Bill and Julie X 👍😊❤

I'm lucky with my detector as I can set the coil on what seems to be something good and the signal will be steady if it's a ring or coin but if the signal bounces around it is trash but sometimes I'll dig it anyway to make sure it wasn't hiding something underneath but usually that isn't the case but with a steady signal it's always a coin or a ring.

You've probably worked this out by now but Google reckons hinged fibulas were a thing. I'd be surprised if your little thingy wasn't the head off one - nice 🙂 I'm glad I know that now, for such occasions when I never find one 😁
