I contacted the Fluke technical service department and they promptly responded with the unlock code for the bonus memory feature.

From what I've read on the web, it may still be possible to get bonus codes. Best bet is to contact a Fluke dealer. Looks like the code unlocks 5 more screen memories for a total of 15. One person said his bonus code either survived a firmware update, or the update itself provided the additional functionality -- there was no way to tell which because of the order of events.

You are correct, Fluke does not seem to support fan replacement. Oiling the fan will only help the bronze bushing. To oil the sealed bearing, you will have to dis-assemble by removing the Teflon C-ring from the rear of the fan; then pulling the impeller out of the body of the fan. Be careful, not to lose the bearing. There is a spacer between the upper bearing and the lower inside of impeller. Try soaking the bearing in oil for a period of time.

I agree that total disassembly would be ideal to get oil into the proper places but it seemed like going further than I show in the video would be destructive to the fan assembly. I didn't want to risk it. Have you been able to disassemble one of these motors completely? Is the C ring pressed into the housing from the back side?

i have one of these units that the scope doesn't work, but the meter function does, any thoughts?

Using the overall block diagram of the instrument I would suspect one or both C-ASIC (channel ASIC) chips or associated circuitry has a problem. The output of both C-ASIC's goes to the S-ASIC but so does the meter input MUX circuit. Then everything after the S-ASIC is common to all functions. There is the slight possibility the S-ASIC is defective and can't select the scope channels. The other possibility is corrupted firmware.
