It’s amazing how Finn still trusts Jake with girls after the whole Flame Princess stuff

The relationship between Huntress Wizard and Finn is barely scratched in the final season, but honestly that's probably for the best. The two other relationships he's been in (Bubblegum and Fire Princess) have been so thoroughly explored that putting the guy through the ropes of another one at the butt end of the series would probably be detrimental to his character... and honestly I'm sure the show writers knew that. They hint at the relationship in several parts, but never goes into detail. They show that the two care for one another, but never state if its romantic or purely platonic. Finn knows and has known heartbreak. Finn knows and has been the instigator of a toxic relationship. Finn, and FP and BB for that matter, has accepted that this has happened and are more than willing to stay friends and move on. Will Finn and Huntress Wizard's relationship advance or will they simply remain as friends? Literally, not even in the HBO specials, does the show tell us, and honestly I prefer it that way.

I think this episode is also important to Finn’s development in regards to relationship troubles. He’s tried to force quite a few relationships to work out. He never understood what he was doing and just followed his heart, even when the relationship just should’ve ended or was never going to happen. This episode shows that Finn had learned he needs to slow down and accept circumstances rather than chase after love. If love comes, that’s great, but you don’t need to pursue all love that you find. Sometimes pursuing that love ends in the realization that you two just weren’t good for each other.

I loved this episode and every one with huntress wizard. She was one of the coolest background characters in the whole show. She's on my short list of characters I plan to cosplay in the near future.

I think finn was just accepting of what happened with the relationship and not forcing something he may have wanted... Because he has been down that path before and he realized it's not the right way to be with someone...

People are going to argue that you don't need to be in a relationship to be happy, but seeing that Finn is an analysis and a love letter to the Hero narrative archetype, I really hope with all of my heart he will eventually find his true princess. He absolutely deserves true fairytale love after all the struggle and growth we've seen him through.

I miss Adventure Time so much, this show has never stopped growing on me

It is clear that at the end of the show, the Adventure Time team left their relationship ambiguous purposely. Why? That's up to interpretation I guess. My take is, does the public lean more to Jake's approach to relationships, or to HW's? It's up to us to decide how we feel about it and how we think things ended up for them. For me, I feel more like Jake about relationships. My life it's built around them and I cherish them more than anything, so I like to think that Finn and HW never married, lived together or had children and continued to be "exceptional beasts", but still saw each other from time to time, shared deep moments and had each others back.

"I've had plenty of weird dreams befo-OOOOOOKay, that was fast!" I love that line.

I've always wondered what, if any, is the connection between the spirit of the forest and the warrior spirit in the episode where fin and Jake fight The Barn; and what type of role and impact do the spirits have on the world. In adventure time there's an array of powerful/soulful beings from Gods, monsters, and demons to ghosts, vampires, and ghouls; and I wonder where the spirits lie in terms of power, and importance. This could also go for the spirits that scare fin and Jake, but with the way they unscrewed their heads and flew away, they could also easily be put into the ghost, alien, or just monster category.

I would love to see you talking about Bee and the Puppycat series, from the pilot, the webseries and the netflix episodes! Is a great show!

love the videos would love to see u talk about how finn ages throughout the story for a lot of people like myself it was like we aged with him seeing finn go through puberty and grow up at the same time as me is really something no other show can do

This is why you earned my subscription. I just discovered you today and your covering my favorite episodes. Even though I just discovered the show one week ago, I binged it all in four days and is already in my top 10 shows(though I do like distant lands better).

I love your video and breakdowns. They're neat. One idea I have that you can cover is the loneliness of some of the cast that have an extremely long life span or are functionally immortal. I like how it gives more depth on Marceline, Bonnie, and SImon's experience with being alive for so long and their different experiences therein. Same goes for Billy and possibly Lemongrab. I'm just rambling though. Keep it up with the great videos.

so finn finally gets a girlfriend who loves him when he matured and stopped being a simp, and the series end with them not being together this pissed me off so much

while there is some different levels of maturity going on I don't necessarily think that this relationship will ever need to change it's nature entirely as/if both of them mature more bc I always felt there was an argument for aromanticism that to me mostly comes from my discomfort with Jake's reaction to someone forming a kind of relationship that doesn't conform to the norm Jake expects people to want. I like that Finn and HW don't end up together in a way were they kind of do at the same time bc it feels a lot like everyone is no longer forcing themselves to follow a societal norm and is doing what's right for them. I do think HW should do more to stop isolating herself tho and contributing to the whole magic/sadness/madness thing as described by Betty

8:40 its interesting. As a Christian I feel like this does get into that area of what gives you purpose, and what makes your time on this earth meaningful. Now the media is obviously not dominated by Christians whatsoever, so we can assume this is a rather secular outlook on this situation. From my perspective im inclined to agree *more* with Jake here, as loving others is the 2nd most important thing you can do. But, Huntress Wizard's perspective is also correct, in that even relationships can come and go, nothing is permanent. You cant rely on a relationship to give you purpose in life. This is why the *most* important thing you can do is love God. Who is eternal.
