Fluval Evo 13.5 Filtration Upgrade - Media Basket Design & Creation

Күн бұрынIn this video, I upgrade the filtration on the Fluval EVO 13.5 all-in-one reef aquarium by 3d printing a custom set of media baskets. The media baskets got completed about 5 months ago but I have not had a chance to make a video about this until now. On a positive note, I get to show you the design, creation, and installation of these media baskets and I also get to give you a 5-month update. This Fluval Evo 13.5 filtration upgrade is working really well but since completing these media baskets I have already started on a much better upgrade that is coming soon. Watch till the end of the video if you would like to get a sneak peek of this future project. Checks out the video to see the entire design and build process.
I have not made the files for these media baskets available yet because they have several flaws that need to get resolved first. If you would like access to the files please subscribe and stay for a future upgrade on this project.

Awesome, thank you. I’ve got that need to customize everything and make everything myself. It leads to having 20+ simultaneous projects going on at the same time, some of which never get finished lol 😂

Yeah, I’m loving the roller mat. I’ll post a video about it soon once I make some improvements to the design.

Man the roller mat is next level! hopefully and I'm sure you are developing one for the water box mini peninsula series? maybe even Biocubes as they are very popular as well. none the less awesome work can't wait to see the final product!

💯. I just finished one up for the WB peninsula mini 15g so I’ll release a video about that soon. First I’ve got to test and improve on it a bit but so far it looks like it’s working great.

It’s already up an running. Just have to iron out some minor issues. I’ll have a video up in a few weeks.

@@ISeaLive Great news. I'll have my PayPal account ready for the release! I use a printed floss cup that replaced the filter sock but it becomes clogged very quickly.

I’m working on it now. I’ll be selling the roller mats and giving away the files to anyone that asks. However, this is much more complicated build as I am using both 3d printing and laser cutting to make the roller mat. For most ppl it will be way to much work to make on your own but I am happy to help for those that want to try.
