A classic pattern, the hare's ear nymph is known for fooling fish for generations. Usually one of the first flies learned by new tiers, don't think for a minute that the hare's ear can't perform as well as more sophisticated flies. It can be tied weighted or unweighted to mimic different stages of life, in this case I will be tying it weighted.
Materials used:

Tail: Pheasant Tail
Body: Hare's Ear Dubbing
Ribbing: Small Gold Wire
