idk why I never used this tool as a young producer. FM synthesis is just the most versatile thing any producer could ever use and I advise any new coming producer to use this classic tool. Seriously, if you come into the pgame knowing FM off the bat, you're ahead of the game 10x.

I have been using FL studio for over 15 years now never really played with Sytrus , but these tutorials have helped so much.

If you want a fast and easy way to fix that, you coud set middle C to C6 instead on the channel editor that pops up along with the plugin when you click on it on the little thingy with squares all over it... (forgot the name of it...)

If you click the menu button in the upper lefthand corner, there is a presets menu. Inside that is the "Default" setting, which is not what is loaded by default, surprisingly. That is what he is using.

FM8 is very similar to Sytrus. It just has a different interface and many different functions then sytrus. FM8 is more complex but you can easily make the same sounds in sytrus

this tutorial lead me to spend an entire day transporting my laptop to my old imac and then installing windows 7 and fl studio onto my imac just to get the first bass that you play after the "you can create world class bass"

---Captain's log--- Date: 18-03-2016 Part: 0002 Todays log will be a fix for an annoying problem that I've had for the past 4 weeks. If ANYONE is reading this, please read EVERYTHING. I had a problem that I've been struggling with for 4 weeks now, and I found an actual solution! SeamlessR is THE best tutor on KZfaq when it comes to music, sound design and all that good stuff, and he uses Fruity Loops. I'm using Ableton. The huge, annoying problem is... AUTOMATION, and how to translate the automation between the DAW's. Both DAWS are awesome, but Ableton needs some tweaking to get the same, awesome and crisp sound that SeamlessR makes in this tutorial. Let me explain: My problem was that the automation in Ableton was so slow and weird, compared to the FL's automation in this video, and I found the solution. In Ableton/Options/Preferences.../Audio there are two sliders called "Input Buffer Size" and "Output Buffer Size". The Input Buffer Size were by default set to 8000 something, and Output Buffer Size set to 4000 something. I changed the Input Buffer Size down to 256 Samples, and Output Buffer Size down to 700 Samples to DECREASE the overall latency of the DAW. [EDIT] I confirmed that the Buffer Size is hardware spesific, so if you hear crackling noises, its because your values are too low. Experiment to get the best result! This is just something that I've been struggling with, and now I can make the exact same crisp, beautiful automation as SeamlessR makes in this tutorial. I Just want other people to avoid this HUGE headache. This info can probably translate to other DAW's too, if anyone also are having these problems. Have fun making cool stuff! PS: If anyone are using a Vectorscope, Oscilloscope, Spectrum and Meter like I do, they will be SO much better when the latency is decreased!

How do you know which one controls which

Seamless, when I try to change the modulation ammount (after pulling down the thing in the mod x value) by changing the x on the x y controller it doesnt do anything. When I try it with pitch or any other parameter, however, it works. What am I doing wrong?

Sytus doesent come with all versions of FL,the demo does though but not the full version that only comes with the signature edition

Remember, you can do this in just about any VSTi that has more than one oscillator.

Yea, it started me off default. I found out quickly due to a lot of different dial things moved already. So I right clicked and hit default. Fl 10 Studio Ed.

In doing the exact same thing that you do seamless, but i get this crackling noise all the time. Is that the reason you got the fruity limiter on? If so, how do i remove the crackling noise, my pc processor should handle this program so that cant be the problem.

How come when I try to use the modulation thing, it doesn't change the sound of the bass like it does for Seamless? I didn't really do anything that he didn't do, so I don't know what's going on...
