Was a great friend, a great father, a supreme musician, and one of the most hilarious and funny man on the earth. We dont miss just a musicman, we lost a soul titan, and I swear, that I'll remember him 4 ever as Chris Cornell too, this guys are my childhood and my teen ages, i love them so much. RIP Tylor, we will see you again in the next life.

Absolutely heartbreaking news 💔 - made all the more devastating by the sheer loveliness and heart this band has radiated over the years!! The time they played in Iceland (few years back) remains in my mind - after visiting a lobster 🦞 restaurant in a small town in the south of the country, they overheard a band playing in a garage close by and invited them to play at their concert in Reykjavik the next day ❤️🙏❤️ - We all have our demons to deal with, but being kind is something we all can do no matter what we feel like ❤️❤️❤️

Dave looked seriously tearful near song end, and Taylor was watching like he was super surprised. The first time I heard this song was when Prince played it at the Super Bowl - and it was awesome. I am impressed by how well Dave's vocals hold up. He's been at this more than a minute and still sounds great....RIP Taylor; such a beautiful soul

This song, the crowd, and the emotion are off the charts to me. This song hit me really really hard the first time I knew the lyrics and now it means even more to me that Taylor is gone. He gave us the "BEST" of him. I will forever be grateful. When you see how people react to the lyrics in this song makes you wonder just how many of us have been abused in life. I am 56 and still struggle with why. It's songs like this that keep me going. I am born to "Resist" and I am doing that now, finally in life. I have allowed narcissistic behavior from friends and family to control me forever and I am done. Even if that means never having another friend because so far, there has only been one friend that was not a narcissist, and unfortunately, he died very early in life. I agree with the lyrics in this song and hope it impacts others that have dealt with this crap throughout their lives. RESIST!

Whoooo man. I just cried my eyes out watching this. These guys were everything I wanted to see in myself someday, as a 12 year old taking my first drum lessons. & Taylor was the dude I tried to emulate. Best of you and no way back were some of the first songs I learned to play. They all have an indefinite love for each other, you need that to play music with one another. But T was Dave’s PERSON. & Vise versa. To have a friend like that is a blessing to begin with, let alone sharing the stage tg in front of hundreds of thousands, playing music yall wrote together…I can’t imagine what Dave’s going through. Imagine being in Dave Grohl's shoes, growing up, being in a small band from Aberdeen, that small band getting big, later to find your best friend has died. The pain he must of felt, he wanted to keep going but knowing he was gonna get alot of shit for starting a new band, he went through it. Look at him now, I wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking of Kurt Cobain that night. Dave deserves this, he's earned it

Dave grew up in Northern Virginia outside DC. He was the third in a line of drummers and moved out to Seattle amongst Osbourne of the Melvins suggestion. There ya go the true story. But yeah either way Dave is cool.

I'm pretty sure he had moved on and fully accepted Kurt's passing by this point. Between his death and this performance Dave got married, divorced, married again, had kids, and had created 6 albums with the Foo Fighters. Seems weird to me that nearly every single foo fighters live performance video has some top comment describing Dave reminiscing about Kurt.

I was there as a skinny little 16 year old with no true appreciation of what I was witnessing until looking back years later. It was my first ever live concert and fuck me, what an introduction to live music it was.

@@0saintclark0 I loved hearing your story! I took my 16 year old Grandson, to his first concert and it was the Foo Fighters, he was floored. I wonder if he feels like you do. He’s 20 now and in college. We had 2nd row center stage, right behind the pit. I rented a driver to take us, you get out right up front. It rocks! We got tshirts coozies, a hoodie. One thing I miss about concerts today compared to earlier years is having a ticket stub to save. In high schooI (72-75) I was doing good to buy a $5.00 ticket, so those ticket stubs were gold to me. I just love reading these comments and hearing young people express how important music is to them! Holy smokes, this old lady cried for days when Taylor died. He only wanted to slow down a little and rest more between shows. I heard more shows were continually being added and the concerts were going on for three hours. That’s seriously asking a lot of any one in their mid to late 40’s. Taylor was 47 or so playing like a 20 year old. What an honest down to earth man Taylor was, his music and memories will live on forever. Technology you gotta love it.

Everybody needs somebody who looks at them the way Taylor looks at Dave. I wonder if it will always be so painful. I genuinely don’t know if it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I just hope he knew how loved he was, is, and always will be. Fly high, Taylor. I adore this video. I love the look on Dave’s face when he realises what a moment it is and you can see how much it means to him. He has said this is this closest he’s ever come to crying on stage.

Seeing Dave and Taylor staring at each other at 3:10. Man, I fucking wept. I bawled. You could just tell how much love and respect they had for each other. Dave lost his best friend, and I can't imagine what he's going through. RIP Taylor. Hope you're beating on the drum in the great gig in the sky.

I grew up with this band as my soundtrack and it's a large connection I have with my dad from when he first showed me the foo fighters. Rest in peace Taylor Hawkins, you had a huge influence on my drumming style

I didn't dare listening to their first album. Afraid it would disappoint after Nirvana. Took me six months. Never looked back. Dave and his band are the real deal. He was only a bit older then me back then and I can only imagine what it all meant to Dave Grohl. He doesn't need the legacy. Not a tiny bit. But I hope the spirit of Kurt smiles down at times to see how his friend is doing and nods.... It's all well now.

It’s been two years and it still hurts so so bad. I’ve never been so wrecked by the loss of a musician as I was with Taylor. Loved this band since I was in the 4th grade. I’m 37 years old now. The world truly lost a beautiful soul. You will be forever missed.

Still after all this time one of the best performances and connections between audience and band I have ever witnessed the realisation in Dave grohl of what he has achieve in his life and the reciprocation of a crowd is under believable it truly is and he is truly legendary I always thought kurt would hold everything for me as a person and what he meant but this really is humanistic and appreciated imencly from both sides of the barrier Dave grohl you truly are one of the worlds most amazing rock stars grunge punk savage human ever to exist thank you you mean the world to me mate and what you stand for as a human I see ya dude love ya
