After reading Dave Grohl’s book, it was revealed that this video was actually based off of a dream that he had about seeing many stars turn into ufos and fly around the sky as he heard narration from other beings talking about the “dawn of man”. Interesting to watch the video after learning that bit of info.

Dave will always get that musical pass and credibility because he was in one of the most influential bands ever next to Beatles and Led Zeppelin. I love the Foo Fighters. There's a ton of good music if you look hard but these guys bring it. I don't know about now but when it's all said and done they might be top 10 all time. Top 20 for sure

I've listened to many rock musicians and bands, but I gotta say, hands down the best modern one out there "was" Foo Fighters, before Taylor died🥲 I fking appreciate Dave's drumming but the feeling of taylor's drumming is just something else... What have the artists said about the song? In an interview with Rolling Stone about the song, Grohl had this to say: I wrote the song towards the end of the album process. We thought we had finished the album and we had a two-week break. I thought to myself, “I got one more song in me, I got one more song in me.” I was laying down in the grass, looking up at the night sky in Hawaii, and I was reminded of this Neil DeGrasse Tyson video that I had watched called, “The Most Astounding Fact”. And I’ve always been a sky-watcher since I was a kid. I’ve always just stared at the sky and waited for a sign. And so I wrote the song “The Sky is a Neighborhood” based on that. It basically talks about the atoms that comprise life on Earth and make up the human body are traceable to the beginnings of our universe. Stars that go unstable and collapse and explode and just scatter their guts, their fundamental ingredients of life are all over the universe and forming solar systems and stars orbiting planets have the ingredients for life itself. And when you look up at the night sky, you realize that you’re not only part of the universe, but the universe is part of us. It really moves me. Moves me too Dave, congrats for another great song and for the great content of the Foo's works of art. Getting more and more great each album.

I got to watch you play one last time in Tempe Arizona this year. My uncle, sister and I sang this song so loud for our recently deceased Grandfather. This song will always remind me of that moment with tears down our face and now our favorite drummer is up there too. rest easy, Taylor.

I remember hearing this song for the first time... it was nearly midnight, me and my grandfather were in Wal-Mart looking for a new speaker. I saw a set of headphones on the rack and I put them on out of curiosity, pressing the play button. This song came on at full volume and I was just swept away by the music. My grandfather came over and tapped me on my shoulder, and when I turned around to look at him he said I had the biggest grin 🤣 I was 11 when this happened and I've never looked at music the same since

Dear Dave and Crew… I finally got to see you guys perform last weekend at the "Inning's Festival” in my hometown of Tempe. It was my first time seeing you and the band live, after countless videos of concerts, live streams, and interviews. At 55 years old, I’m your target audience as you mentioned during the show, and you delivered the goods. Your live performance is something that is truly remarkable and the amount of energy and preparation, interactions with the audience, and great play list is something that all fans should try to see. Sorry for the lack of participation for all those in the front, but know that those of us with GA tickets in the back were standing on sandbags to see, dancing, singing at the top of our lungs, and jumping (…starting a tiny mosh pit, remembering that we not in our 20’s but in our 50’s). Thanks again and we hope you all stay healthy and safe for a long time, till we get to see you again. -Chris

The band is awesome, and i love the drummer, but see my comment above about the first Foo album. Dave did the whole thing himself: wrote every song, played every instrument, sang the vocals, mixed and produced it, then, finally, when he was ready to tour it, he hired the band. I think they've improved, and grown since then, but Dave is still a major talent. Check his bio- he works with other major bands all the time. I said it above: he's a real rock star.

Agustin eusebi, the comment I meant is almost the same as the one you replied to. Someone said something about the Foo Fighters' first album, crediting the entire band. Dave made that whole album himself. (By the way, I can't find that comment, either. There are too many notifications and comments.) Your English is quite good. "O" is just a typo, and in the context you meant, "a real rock star" is the correct grammar.
