Funny thing. We are getting our first cold snap of the season. When I went to use the heat, nothing but cold air. No had already dropped car off BEFORE looking at your fix. Was looking at couple days w/o a car and probably $2-3 hundred. Walked back to get my car and followed your instructions and voila! Thanks again!

Hello, right off hand I am not sure but I would suggest trying different combos of buttons. That has helped some other finally get it. Hope that helps and hope you are able to get it.

Hum not sure on that one. You may want to run the reset process a couple times and see if it gets any better. Might check the wiring on the blower motor as well. They are normally pretty easy to work on.

What wad the problem I have the same issue only the driver side is cold. Brrr

@deannag0330 Not even the dealership is able to figure it out, I have to get my heater core flushed EVERY winter since 2019. Even then, I only get warm air on the passenger side until early February, then I'm back to square one.

@@SmallSpaceLiving not sure if this will help anyone else out there, but I dropped my van off at Ford and after they did a pressure test on the system they found a leak at the weep hole of the water pump. Van has 59k miles and has been maintained properly with no ill abuse to the vehicle. They quoted me $1,300 parts+labor. I negotiated them down to $700 after finding another local mechanic that quoted me $500 for the repair. Buyers BEWARE. Hoping and praying this is a final fix when I pick it up. (Symptoms I experienced was when I called for full heat at idle and less then 30mph, it would blow cold, but at highway speeds it was blowing hot. Engine temp gauge appeared to be operating normally)

We only had to do it once or twice the entire time we had it. The car is now gone as of yesterday. Now to see what deal I can get on a truck.

If the controls are close I would just mess with them a little to you figure out the combo needed. It should be similar and should not hurt anything to try. Good luck trying to get it. Please let me know if you do.

I personally learned it on my 2015, but I have had comments from years ranging from 2010 to 2019 that I can remember. Maybe some older and newer once that I am forgetting. Hope that helps. What year is yours?

@@SmallSpaceLiving earlier this morning it ran hot about 3/4 on the gage. I stopped at my oil change place and they showed me that coolant was coming out the upper radiator hose near the motor. They topped of my coolant so I can get home. Looks like I have to get a new hose 😔

Mine was the same way. I think if the temps are going up and down and you don't use it for a few weeks it may happen again. I am in TN and the weather changes all the time. I had great luck with it working every time though. Hope the issue goes away for awhile for you with the next fix.

I did have a problem with my 2013 Ford C-Max it would say audio off and there was nothing you could do to get it on and I did a bunch of research and I found out an easy fix it's literally pulling a fuse in and out I did a video on that. Hello Shayla, I can tell you that people have tried it on several different Fords and it has worked for most. Some have not. I would for sure give it a shot. The Explorer and Edge are very close in dash setup so my guess is it will work. Please let me know for sure. I hope it does.

On my 2016 Explorer I tried pressing the combination of front defrost and Climate power buttons. After a couple of seconds, it acts like some sort of reset happens where it changes to auto mode and off again (or something like that). In my case this didn't really fix the problem - the heat was restored after I topped off the anti-freeze reservoir.
