O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Just found this today. Well, this is one truck I’m gonna have to check the videos on. Love this style of cab…they were boxy, stout & full of pizzazz! So it was a Toter truck? It makes a much nicer semi truck! Love the color! Hey, considering you pulled it out of the weeds, it didn’t take to long to make it a nice rig & one to be PROUD of! Thanks for showing this. I will share this Porter Quote: Make the trip , but don’t forget to enjoy the ride! You will probably NOT get too tired of driving this truck! Blessings!🥰😎✌️

Thank you! It was a road tractor from the factory, then converted to a wrecker of sorts, a boom truck that could move beans and follies for house moving as well as pull a house itself during a move. Then I converted it back to a tractor. Thanks for watching!

@robstruckshop80 Жыл бұрын
Someone had poorly installed them in the headliner before me- I did a slightly less poor job! There’s really not enough room for them in that space, I had to pull the headliner down to meet the speaker grills, but it works

Those leds may be causing flasher issue. The circuit needs load to work properly
@robstruckshop80 Жыл бұрын
I thought that, but the flasher worked fine for a while with no short flashes. A new flasher solved it.
@littleshopintheshed Жыл бұрын
Looks awesome!! Did you get the turn signals figured out?? Relay issue because of the LED's instead of incandescent?
@robstruckshop80 Жыл бұрын
I did- it was a combination of old cracked wiring in the front harness and a relay that was faulty out of the box

@@robstruckshop80 That great. I am currently looking at a 92 L9000 Aeromax with the L10, he wants $6000, and doesnt seem to be any rust holes at all. It a Single axle that was used to haul bales, only 87000kms on it

If the cab is mostly rust free, I would say that’s a good price for those kind of miles. (Km’s!)

led lights dont draw enough amperage to heat up the bimetal strip in the flasher to open the circuit. pick up a led compatible flasher before you go too deep.

I think I like the Ford more than the load star
@robstruckshop80 Жыл бұрын
I have to admit I do too- at least to drive. The Loadstar is a 55 year old truck and drive line…. Fit and finish on them was poor, and they’re small, loud and generally uncomfortable. But it looks awesome and is pretty reliable as a restoration.
