WATCH LIVE: Forensic video expert walks jurors through his analysis of a flickering light seen by a security camera on the night the State says #ChandlerHalderson was burning his parents' heads in the family fireplace.
Chandler Halderson faces eight charges in the July 2021 deaths of Bart and Krista Halderson - two counts each of first-degree intentional homicide, providing false information on kidnapped or missing persons, mutilating a corpse and hiding a corpse.

What a slam dunk of a trial. I'm sure Chandler wishes he'd plead guilty instead of going through this humiliating trial where all his lies were exposed. This trial must have been super expensive considering the effort and professionalism put in by the experts

I would be very interested in knowing the history/family dynamics. While nothing in this world would excuse an act such as this one, and I do believe CH is beyond narcissistic, I feel like there was more behind this. I am not sure if he was just lying to his girlfriend or what, but a 23 year old GROUNDED and Sent to his room???? All very odd if true.

He’s got a brother who’s only 18 months older and the brother is completely normal and functioning. Just seems to me some people are born with a piece of their soul missing to do something like this. His family is all normal and loving as well. We just have to accept the fact there are sick and depraved people out there. To kill your own parents who loved and cared for you and then to dismember them….how is he not throwing up at how disgusting of an act it is while at it is beyond me. And to ask your girlfriend to come over with cleaning supplies, have her cook you dinner and then ask for sex after you killed your parents. Wow, just wow. This guy deserves to be locked up forever and I hope prison justice while in there teaches him a hard lesson.

I wonder if he was truly “grounded” by his parents or if that was just the term he used for feeling like a child and being scolded by his parents. Maybe even having a list of chores to complete as part of his responsibility for being 23 and living in his parents home at that point. According to moms best friend, the parents typically gave choices not punishments. Idk

@CMJames 2 жыл бұрын
@@jl-vk8kd interesting, didn’t find the brother ‘normal’ at all. He said he mostly kept in touch with his brother via video games? And didn’t have a clue what was going on with anyone in his family nor did he visit them regularly despite living in the same state. Its telling to me that Chandler spent 7 days cutting up and disposing his parents and his brother hardly spent any time around him during that time. If that was my sibling, we wouldn’t leave each other’s side. It’s almost like he wanted to forget his family existed and start again. Very odd and strange dynamics.
@jl-vk8kd

@@CMJames I can’t imagine a normal functioning adult would want to spend his time with his family every living minute. He’s got a job, a girlfriend, bought an apartment, etc…..the dude is living his life. And a week without contacting your parents and your siblings is pretty normal. They probably touch base with each other and then he comes home to visit for the holidays. What’s so weird and off about that? Looking for off family dynamics in a seemingly normal and loving family to argue for Chandler’s case is just absurd. The case is pretty clear cut. Normal people don’t kill and chop up their parents. This diabolical human being did.

Don't even think about blaming the parents it's not their fault they didn't take their son to see a doctor, he is an adult he can take himself if they think he's crazy and don't let him out he's the one that went to see the doctor.

Reminds me of Grant Amato and Joel Guy jr. These people must have had some signs of extreme narccism and sociopathology. They are all relatively smart yet commit these insane crimes seriously thinking they will get away with it. This, to me, shows a strong inability to understand how normal people think and an overestimation of their own ability. Its just incredible that these guys think they would actually get away with this.

No, the flickering window was next to the fireplace. They found bone fragments in the ash box underneath the fireplace and a skull fragment on a burnt log sitting in the fireplace grate. In other words, they were beyond being able to flicker a light at that point tragically.

@@AliceA333 I had a thought. I think the flickering could have came from a pretty bad grease fire. When a body is being burned. The fat gets pretty bad. Like cooking over a stove. If that makes sense
@AliceA333
@AliceA333 2 жыл бұрын
@@steshar2975 Sounds about right, I know the bodies didn't burn according to how he envisioned it. There was also a point when gasses or something built up, causing some type of explosion in the fireplace. He had to rebuilt it. It was probably around that time that he realized he'd never be able to make the bodies disappear in the fireplace. I'm very "beginners level" with cooking, so I have no idea what happens with meat that large, but it sounds like they described what you said.

Im sure he knows what he's talking about but he absolutely sucks at attempting to convey his knowledge to the jury that and he's long-winded and at times trails off into subjects that have nothing to do with the case like in the beginning when he started telling us about what happens at a doctor's office "they might take your blood pressure they might do this they might do that" STICK TO THE SUBJECT!!!!

It amazes me that there aren't nearly as many comments of audacity from Black people's family members about a suspect RESISTING before he gets beat up or shot. They just want to play victim and cry "racism" and ignore or downplay their family member's own actions which directly provoked the police into overwhelming use of force. Ignore the cause; obsess over the effect. But that is taking things out of context, so it isn't reasonable.
