I was a cradle Protestant and I never stepped foot into a Catholic church until the age of 49. I have never been more fervent, more alive, more devoted to my faith as when I became Christian Catholic. I can't make it through a single mass without tears.

I was raised in a Presbyterian church. I married a Catholic at the age of 20. I have been to countless Catholic mass. I have *NEVER* felt the presence of God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit in any Catholic church I have attended. I find them cold and lifeless with those in attendance counting the minutes so they can leave and say, 'I'm glad that's over, now let's go ....'. Because of my work, I have been to many Rectories and have listened to many Godly Priests converse with staff with anger and vocabulary worthy of a sailor. HYPOCRITES comes to mind.

@@FabianoCastanhola You: "i guess you're not smart enough" " i dont think you Felt anything in other churches as well." Me: Thank you for showing a typical Catholic response and where your heart is. Catholics always feel a false sense of superior by belittling others and name-calling. Not to mention the assumptions you make and thereby making a fool of yourself. You are still in the Catholic religion. I guess you're not smart enough to see their lies and to understand scriptures. Because if you did you would leave that man-made religion.

Dr. Alan Hales whatever, I can disprove luther and calvins Protestant revolt simply by saying this, their two tenants are faith alone and bible alone and NEITHER IS BIBLICAL! Oh and what was used before The Catholic Church compiles the Bible? Oh yeah... TRADITION! Even the Bible says that faith without works is dead! The Bible never condemns tradition, just corrupt tradition. I have deep deep study in this and you cannot disprove using the Greek, only prove... to be deep in history is to cease to be Protestant! I became Catholic 16 years ago. I was raised Mormon, was a Mormon missionary, and while Mormonism is different (to say the least) from Protestantism the claims and attacks on the Catholic Church are the same. It was for me first the Mass, as a young man singing in my high school choir, that opened my heart as I watched the liturgy and the Holy Eucharist from the choir high above the cathedral floor. It was the most beautiful and strangely true thing I’d ever seen. I had a powerful encounter with Christ as a Mormon missionary and came home after two years and never went back to the Mormon Church. I then declared myself an atheist until 10 years later I’d hit rock bottom. I saw the Passion of the Christ and it was so powerful I started church shopping. The first church I went to was Catholic because I was really seeking the true Jesus but I felt I had so much to learn, and wasn’t able to fully participate. I then went to a wonderful “non-denominational” church with an amazing rock band and was baptized, but then Pope John Paul II died and as I watched his funeral, the election of a new Pope, and learned about (now Saint) John Paul I realized that Authority from Christ was in the Catholic Church, and that all other Protestant Churches still followed the Nicene Creed, essentially, I became a Catechumens. Now 16 years later I am finally learning how to be a Catholic father to my children. Truly to all Mormons and Protestants out there, listen to this talk and do your homework, and pray. The truth is not far away.

@@KeithNester -By way of encouragement i wish you every success in your search after truth.Firstly the church is Catholic and was meant to be Catholic.The word itself means universal (for all people and in all places). Jesus himself said after HIS Glorious Resurrection and I quote -Full Authority in heaven and earth has been committed to me------make all nations my disciples. The Catholic Church defined its creed in the 4th century A.D. and known as the Nicene Creed.And this creed defines what we believe as Catholics even today.At every Sunday Mass we profess our Faith in this creed. The creed defines what has been believed by all christians of all denominations including all the protestant reformers. The Catholic church existed before any Roman Catholics existed.Christians were first called Christians at Antioch and when St Paul wrote his letter to the Roman catholics in the late 50's he sent his greeting to some 25 people ( Romans 16.6-15) and not at all mentioned Peter. I find that amazing --was he not the pope? Imagine sending a letter to a church and excluding the pastor! According to Roman Catholic Tradition ,Peter, was Bishop of Rome for 25 years from 42 to 67 A.D. The Roman Church added many things to the Original catholic Church in the period of the Dark Ages from 500 to 1000A.D I believe every word of the Nicene Creed like all Catholics whether Roman or Otherwise. Protestants on the whole today have fallen away from the Nicene Creed and hence the confusion ! If you want Christian unity get back to our creed. All denominations of the Church have doctrinal errors and that includes the Roman Catholic Church. But on a final note Keith, may God bless you always and in all ways-AND i WISH YOU ALL THE BEST

@Northern Wolf You have mistaken my brother for saying that we are Worshiping images. That thing is never been taught in our church. They are only a symbol or representative objects for us. The logic behind this is, for example, it's your mom's birthday and you posted her pictures on the internet, like Facebook and greeted her happy birthday. My question is, who's a birthday, is it? Is it the image's birthday OR the people behind the picture which is your mom? Of course, it is the person behind the picture. Same with what we did, we kneel in front of an Image but what we say is "Our Father in HEAVEN", NOT "our father in graven images". Why do we bow or kneel to the carved images? Is there also people of God who did it in the Bible? Is there also carve images and statues inside the temple of God? ANSWER: YESSSS!!! If there are people of God doing it, would you call them doing IDOLATRY?? Bowing down or kneeling is a sign of respect, just like Japan, they bow down to other people as a sign of respect. And Yes, there are people of God who did it. JOSHUA 7:6 JOSHUA and the ELDERS of ISRAEL tore their clothing in dismay, threw dust on their heads, and BOWED FACE DOWN to the ground before the ARK of the LORD until evening. (Ark of the covenant is a statue or Cherubims, and God even Commanded Moses to make a Statue of the Ark of the Covenant) EXODUS 25:18-22 New King James Version 18 And you shall MAKE TWO CHERUBIM of GOLD; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one CHERUB at one end, and the other CHERUB at the other end; you shall make the CHERUBIM at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat. 20 And (A)the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the CHERUBIM shall be toward the mercy seat. 21 (B)You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and (C)in the ARK you shall put the Testimony that I will give you. 22 And (D)there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from (E)between the TWO CHERUBIM which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel. EZEKIEL 43:3-7 3 The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when he came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I FELL FACE DOWN. 4 The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east. 5 Then the Spirit lifted me and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 6 While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. 7 He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name-neither they nor their kings-by their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings at their death. 1 KINGS 8:54 New International Version 54 When Solomon had finished all these prayers and supplications to the Lord, he rose from before the altar of the Lord, where he had been KNEELING with his hands spread out toward heaven. I wish I could hit thumbs up a hundred times. I’m a revert. I never paid attention to what was being taught to me as a child. My Mom tried so hard but my Dad wasn’t a church goer. One by one, my siblings & I left the church. I was swayed by emotion and the flashiness of those new evangelical churches that told me I could wear what I want, have coffee during the sermon, no more confessions to a priest, no more rosaries which I felt were boring. After 20+ yrs of bouncing around, guess what? I’m more in love with the Catholic faith than ever. I value confession as I recognize how badly I need it ... and I love praying the rosary. If only I could go back in time knowing then what I know now ... I would not have left. I hate the scandals in the church but funny enough, it was a Pastor at a non-denominational church who gives me the clearest perspective on it. During a sermon, he once asked the question: “Isn’t it true that the more you try to be good and obey God, the more you feel attacked by the devil?” He went on to explain that by following God, we paint a bullseye on our backs. Temptation is worse than ever. So that gets me thinking ... since I know the Catholic Church is the one established by Christ, it makes sense that the devil targets it most. We have to stand firm and fight the filth. Too many predators have entered the church, we have to fight to get them out. And it’s okay if we are hated by non-believers. Jesus told us to remember that when we are hated ... people hated Him first.

Asaph Vapor The bible came out of catholic traditions. In early christianity, the only scriptures they had was the Old Testament and during the mass they would read the letters of the apostles to the people (because a majority of people were illiterate). It was at the Council of Carthage in 397 that the NT was officially canonized and those letters believed to be inspired were raised to the same rank as the scriptures. This was accepted by christians for over 1000 years until Martin Luther removed books. Where is sola fide in the bible? James 2:24 For you see a man is justified by works and NOT by faith alone. Where is sola scriptura in the bible? Where is this sinner's prayer in the bible? If chrisitianity could survive 400 years without a bible it is because of oral traditions that were passed down from the apostles faithfully. Please read 1 Tim 3:15. Saint Paul tells Timothy that the church is the pillar and ground of truth. what church existed then? Why didn't Paul say the bible is the pillar of truth?

But this can change if we have strong catholics that teaches the word of GOD with the church authority given buy Christ to his church. I myself came back home after 50 years protestant and Im happy returning home.

I am really disappointed with you Keith because Roman Catholicism is a door to hell, I was in there and I got freedom when I became Protestant, no more rituals, no more confessions to a priest (he is a sinner like me, why should I confess to him?), I found grace, nothing I do is merit to gain salvation, it is a gift from God because He wants us to rich heaven not because we deserve it but He is a gracious God! You were in freedom why did you want to go to a prison? You need to watch videos of priests who left the Church because you are not saved in that religion! May God bless you and enlighten you to find the truth!

I am a third generation Pentecostal. My grandparents (on both sides) were Pentecostal. My parents met as children in a Pentecostal church. I was raised to believe that most Catholics were doomed because of the teaching of a "diabolical" Catholic Church. My conversion story won't fit here but 18 years ago, at the age of 55, I was formally relieved into the Catholic Church at the 2002 Easter Vigil. While I was in the RCIA I often had breakfast with a life long friend - a retired Pentecostal minister. At first he was appalled by what I was doing. Then he spent time challenging Catholicism in an attempt to talk me out of entering the Church. He did more to strengthen my faith than anything else. EVERYTHING he brought up, the Church had the answer. I had already dealt with the issues before I even entered the RCIA. Conversely, he could not answer any questions I brought up. Things as simple as the contradiction of Sola Scritpura caused him to immediately change the subject. Today we are still friends, but he will no longer debate issues of the faith. I am now employed at a Catholic Parish. My job duties vary but what I enjoy most are teaching the faith and evangelization. This truly is the Church founded by Jesus Christ and she posses the full deposit of the faith. Here in the Archdioceses of Detroit our evangelization efforts are called "Unleash the Gospel." Believe me, that is all we have to do - The Gospel of Jesus Christ powered by the Holy Spirit and through the Catholic Church needs nothing other than to be unleashed. If anyone knows how to contact Keith - PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Our pastor would like to have come to our parish. Thank you www.StAugustineCatholicParish.org

Keith Nester well for a beginner who wants to know about Jesus in my experience the best start is Protestants because is simple and is easy explained but after that if you want to grow your faith, that will lead to Catholic Church ( my experience). Other reasons is the way of some Protestants ( majority) explains the teachings of Catholic Church and that leads me to further studies and going back to bible and studying verses and how first Christian fathers understand and interpreted those verses. Doing my homework lead me to Catholic Church. Of course if I didn’t study and just stopped only with the Protestants bible study I wouldn’t have known the hole truth. But still was a good start. Peace.

No reason why anybody should challenge your faith...if we got the fullness of the truth . ➡ Ephissians 6 :11-17 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Hey Keith, Just saw this video. Congrats and welcome home. I came back to the church about 6.5 years ago. I’m 51 now. Spent a lot of years as a guitar player singer. That was my focus which made me a cafeteria Catholic for many decades. Now I’m back and studying like crazy to learn my faith and the history. Anyway, I just thought I’d send you a note to encourage you to try the Latin Mass more often. When I finally went to one here in Vancouver BC, I realized that that is the true mass. Beautiful Gregoria can’t choir.....now that’s music. Also you mentioned how you felt a Catholic mass was so much more reverent to God that a Protestant church service and I agree, but boy you want to be transcended to Heaven on earth ? Try the Latin Mass again and give it a fair shake. You really are transported out of this world of matter and energy and are in a house of God hearing the mass as it was for centuries before Vatican 2. That’s my shpeel. Keep being awesome and God Bless. Graham

Welcome home! Love your video! I feel very strongly how you feel as I am a converted catholic from Protestant. The loud music, the dramatic preaching, the sentimental message, the threats and the pressure from other parishioners did not give me peace and did not draw me to God. It actually did the complete opposite. We joined the Catholic Church after studying RCIA for a year or two and they gave me a lot of time to think clearly what I would commit for the rest of my life. I did in at my 22 years old and never look back. My faith gets stronger everyday. You think you would been bored after so many years but not. You see other Catholics being so devoted and sacrifice so much while other being so self centred. Not every Catholics r the same. Sins continues to play a big part. But there is no reason to give up. Our eyes still fix on Heaven. Our goal is in Heaven with our children and friends. Thank u so much for your inspiration. God bless! Greetings from Alberta, Canada!

Because people like you, many protestants will come to home to the one truth Church that Jesus established, The Holy Catholic Church. Jesus promised that the gate of hell can't prevail against it. Our Lord uses you to bring His children back to Him, so they too will worship Him in the fullest of truth and have true peace. Protestants were mislead by a rebellious priest Martin Luther. Many things Martin Luther said are very disturbing, especially his vulgar language. I have always wondered why there are so many people still believing in what he said and in false doctrines that he made up.

I do see that often enough. Too often actually. I see it from Some Catholics to protestants too though. Take Knuckles here who thinks another Christian will go to hell simply for seeing the Catholic traditions that they can't find in the bible as less than Christian. As if we aren't saved by grace, through faith, whether Catholic or protestant. Outside of the fundamentals of the gospel, the bible leaves room for flexibility of some beliefs and admonishes us not to judge or condemn other parts of the body (can the hand say to the toe that there is no need of you?).

If you willfully reject the Catholic church you embrace unlife. Don't twist my words to suit your narrative. Of course there are protestants who though, simply don't find support for Catholic practices in the Bible, still acknowledge Catholics as christian, just a different approach of practises. As a revert Catholic this talk touched my heart. My conversion and journey back to the Church began thanks to prayers of Evangelic Pentecostal Christians. Then I asked Jesus what I shall do and He guided me to stay in the Catholic Church. I said I do not understand the Mass, I do not know Mother Mary and cannot pray the Rosary. Jesus taught me everything step by step. Now I am a true Catholic and can only go to the Traditional Latin Mass because it is the true Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated for centuries by the Church. In the TLM God is given all glory, honour and praise. Jesus offers himself through the priest for the forgiveness of sins and makes atonement for the sins of the world. There is no higher worship nor prayer in the whole world than the TLM.
