How about Eli Dickens, a 22yo man who stopped a mass shooting at the Greenwood Park Mall after just 15 seconds of the shooter starting. From 30-40 yards, armed with a Glock pistol, Eli fired 10 shots with 8 hitting their mark. This saved countless lives that day and the mayor honored him with Cotizen of the Year.

Parents need to teach their kids in middle and high school that most relationships don't work, there is always somebody else out there for them, counseling is your friend whenever you need it, and here are some coping skills for you when you and your boyfriend/girlfriend break up: go to the gym, hang out with friends, write in a journal, cook a new dish for yourself, go for a walk, cry it out -- crying is just a way to relieve tension, take yourself out for some ice cream, buy yourself something nice that is still within or just slightly over your budget. We're raising kids who turn into young adults with no coping skills.
