Amazing trails up there. We go through Natalie on our way to Potter County and I had no idea there was such a trail system there. Yes, it's a shame DCNR doesn't put out a decent map. Those old mines/caves give me the creeps; glad you didn't go in them! That tree fossil had an interesting bark pattern. I wonder what kind of tree that might have been......nothing familiar to anything we have today that I know of. Thanks so much for sharing!

HA HA HA, it's nice to see that you and I have the same problem. When I go exploring, I find it hard to turn around, and I always lose track of time and end up going a lot farther than I intended. Great video. Dwayne

This getting lost and confused in the woods was getting really creepy, reminded me of the movie "The Blair Witch" 😄Glad you "escaped" Cliff and Happy Thanksgiving.🦃

What a beautiful place. The fossils are cool! Are those indentations on that one fossilized tree possibly lenticular?

Hey Cliff, that toy company at the mall that has kids build their own stuffed animal or BEAR. Has a new critter. A Bigfoot with tee shirt using the same Tolkien quote.... makes me think someone in marketing must be a fan of yours.

Cool hike. If you had gone in one of those holes I would have needed to skip to after you got out.

Welcome to the Coal region ! Ya wasn't far away from me. If you wanted to go exploring the area , I could show you places that was old big mines , and that's what allot did with shovels ya founded dug up the old mines tunnels and got the pillars of coal .if you are Walking and see like a bunch of pits in a Row, a line , stay away from them . They are collapsed shafts and ya can be suck down and not ever found. Down the other side of Natalie's mountain there's a scrap yard behind it is a interesting place ya would like inno .not saying anything to ruin. It if you want to do it. Well there's so many things to see in the area that was left behind and well the miners cleaned up old shafts etc really left nothing. Poles sticking up for the mine shafts . It seems ya was like a Kid in a Candy shop in our backyard. Here well if you are interested in some of the areas coal minings hit me up. A ATV is best for most places to get to. Hmm 🤔 well not going to ruin it but there's a place ya would love to adventure and I haven't seen no one else do it well I guess cause it's owned by family and well they try to keep ppl away . But inno ya would love it for the history of it .might be a 3/4 part video for you as well. And as a Real Coalcracker not that one that isn't on you tube I have permission to go on certain coal lands right from the horses mouth . Lol so yeah even at wiser there's a Kool place by 42 side .that's right up ya alley. Becareful exploring the mountains around here, since ya really don't know it a good way not to get lost is .all the big mountains run east to west the huge valleys in-between north and south. And these old mine shafts stay out stay safe. Oh yeah ya buddy Jp has nuthang on them about stuff I could show you here . even up ya favorite place Centralia lol . Stay on the roads and truck paths is best for ppl out of the area exploring here
