This dive takes us back to Bass Lake, CA, where I'm on the hunt for another missing ring! I got a message from Severo's mom, letting me know her son had lost an extremely sentimental ring that means the world to him. The ring was handed down by his grandfather who had worn it through the Vietnam war. His mom said he absolutely never takes it off and was heart broken when it slipped off after he fell in the lake.
Severo was able to come by and show me the rough search area before he had to head off to work. Luckily, it wasn't very deep where he lost the ring but because it was a holiday weekend , my search was anything but easy! After getting beat down by waves and finding nothing but trash for a little over 3 hours, I finally was able to come across the missing ring with my metal detectors!
Then, while we were just about to pack up the truck, a man saw that I had scuba gear and asked if there was any way I could go look for his $400 Burberry designer sunglasses that he had just lost while trying to get on a jet ski. I said I'd be happy to help, threw my gear back on, and jumped back in the water! Not even 10 minutes later, I was not only able to find his glasses, but also another pair and some other cool goodies as well.
I then returned the sunglasses to their rightful owner, packed up the truck, and headed towards Severo's work to surprise him with his lost ring! He was shaking out of disbelief when I handed it back and was beyond thankful! I absolutely live for those moments and I can't wait to share more of them with everyone!
