Join us on this picturesque walk visiting four stunning beaches on the north bank of the River Helford in Cornwall. Renowned for its beauty, the Helford does not disappoint. We show you our way to explore the area, giving you a taste of the history at the same time! Followed by a short visit to Mawnan Smith - hopefully the pubs will be allowed to open soon!
If you would like to join us on Patreon, please follow the link / cornishwalkingtrails . On Patreon we upload a full walk instruction video and also written instructions. With both you are well armed to tackle this yourself. We are incredibly grateful to all of our patrons whose contribution helps to make more videos.
A fabulous walk in stunning scenery on one of Cornwall's most picturesque creeks.

Port Navas 39-41, Mawnan Smith 41-42, and Swanpool from there on! US fire fighting base in Swanpool where the car park is now (it was all rushes until they ripped them out). Hundreds of convoys going through ! Black troop convoys and white troop convoys and never the “twain should meet”........seems incredible looking back.....so awful...

Liz and I have loved your channel, started looking for a pasty recipe. We are in the boarding Midlands, locked down . I've had an exciting day with a walk to Iceland to get the shopping. So we have watched loads of your recordings. Liz visits Cornwall every year with her family and so we have loved you both. Andrews addiction. To pasty and Ice cream and Sarah's giggles have really cheered us up...big thank you. P.S. to Andrew 're ancient engravings, see the Egyptian carved statue of Tolermy cr2000bc so perfect in facial proportions we would have difficulty reproducing it today...

Such lovely villages and homesteads, some with their very own private beaches (must be nice, eh?) But that's okay, we're with you, and you know where all the hot, and cool, spots are! The sunlight glinting off the surf, the sounds of ocean wave and wind through tall trees, and everything adorned with flowers of varying height and hue echoes in my mind's eye/ear and imagination long after video's end. Beautiful!

This has to be one of your best walks so far! Clearly, your local knowledge pays off! We thoroughly enjoyed the video, not only because it is another superb edit, but it evoked memories of our stay and walks in the area last year. We did, in fact, cover much of this walk ourselves. Like all the tidal rivers and estuaries we have visited on the Cornish south coast the scenery is spectacular.

I think my favourite is the Classic Walks Cornwall book, a green one with 60 circular walks, rarely get lost, even though its quite old. Bossiney walk books are good - they do the "short walks" series. Another I would recommend is the Walks for All Ages. And we have several on Patreon with an instructional video and written instructions! Sarah :)

Beautifully filmed walk...feel refreshed just from watching! Those tall confers may be 'Monterey Pines'? - they seem to be popular in Cornwall. I think Andrew's theory is correct, originally they would have been planted as windbreaks. I like the way they get shaped by the prevailing winds x

We are hoping to visit port Isaac for one day, we’ve booked dinner at one of Rick Steins restaurants (the one in Padstow) I’m looking forward to trying Cornish cream tea, a proper pastie and loads of lovely seafood. If I can be so bold as to ask you a question, what drink should I look out for? I like wine, cider, beer, gin and other boozy drinks. Do you know if any locally produced gems I _need_ to be aware of?
