Burak is doing a total justice to his character except first two episodes. Comparing Burak to Engin is not fair. As both characters have different stories and roles. Engin’s acting was impaccable and now Buraq’s acting is unprecedented. I personally think Buraq is doing justice to his character. Engin’s entry would definitely increase the serial’s charisma but even if he doesn’t come, it will still be a great show.

I love History and I love both of these actors ...Engin Altan and Burak Ozcivit....they are great actors and are doing great in the roles they are playing and into bringing history to life.....Ertugrul and Osman have become my heroes thanks to these two actors, plus including also those who play Turgut, Bamsi, Dogan, Halime Sultan, Hayme, and Bala.....these actors/actresses seem to have their hearts into their work, much like the actors/actresses which lived in the United States of America many years ago in the 1920's and 30's.... My favorite movie of all time was Ben-Hur of the 1950's and I still watch it whenever I can do so....I've watched Ben-Hur numerous times with the same enthusiasm as when I first watched it.....It is the same with Ertugrul and now also with Osman. I am watching Ertugrul for the 3rd time around from the beginning on Net Flix, I have watched Osman with Season 1 Episode 1 to 14 just as many times on youtube......For me there is nothing else worthwhile watching anymore....they have everything I am looking for in films....Faith, Courage, Justice, Freedom--fighting for freedom and against cruelty, and also Family values....moral values of love, respect and dignity, including towards others, which seems to be lacking into today's society. Ertugrul and Osman have become my heroes....and I know some of the events never happened but I also know that many of them did. Because of various circumstances and/or people's differences, it is hard to keep to actual events in history. But...these film series have a strong story line, plus strong actors/actresses, which makes it possible to enjoy their work and also well worth their time in doing a job well done.....and..... I like the way in which Mehmet Bozdag is handling the direction of these films, it is an ART, a specialized Art, and I love the music which all fits within the story as well, including the horses which are my favorite breed of horse. Without out all of these factors, there is NO film which can endure the ages over time nor enlighten people to the extent which grabs the attention of people all over the world, including in trying to bring the reality of history and what happened in fighting for their freedom and faith, their family or surviving the onslaught of destruction and becoming destroyed by another faction of racism within empires and the HATRED and GREED which brings about its own destruction. In short, bringing history to life. Humanity forgets the hardships and sacrifices our ancestors have made in helping to bring freedom to our lives, and therefore, we forget who we really are in this world of self preservation.....ALL OF US ARE FAMILY, regardless of what race or continent we belong to or live on. May God/Allah guide everyone into bringing better quality standards to our viewing experiences.....💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I am very passionate and intrigued by this history. Actor Altan did an amazing job bringing Ertugrul lo life. He made me fell in love with this true story. Even tho I don’t understand the language and have to be reading subtitles. I am watching Osman but the character of this new series does not have the same impact as Altan. I really want to learn more about this story and that’s the reason I’m watching Osman , but it’s definitely NOT because of the actor Osman. Not a good actor for this type of roles.

I have watched the entire season of Dirilus Ertugral at least 4 times in the last year on Netflix. I'd rather watch it than anything that is airing on US cable. I am watching Kurulus Osman streaming on the internet, osmononline....I have been anxiously waiting for Ertugrul (Engin Altan) to show up in Osman, but also know, if he does...he will be the hero. He is so fluid in his acting method...totally would leave "Osman" in the dust. If it weren't for the actors that have migrated to this series, I would have stopped watching it by now. I am just hoping for a glimmer of brilliance in the acting by the main characters. I am sure that in reality Ertugral was a main player in Osman's success, but this series does not elaborate on that. The writing of the series is not up to par because of this.

The two "shows" have massively different backdrops, even though the characters and story are historically connected. Engin Altan's character (Ertugrul) is allowed to develop through a magnificent lens of richly layered historical events, and through the amazing, perfectly tuned character development and personalities of all of the actors - their "honored" roles within the Kayi (Oghuz) tribe and traditions. I cared deeply about each of the actors/characters; they became my companions; I cried when they died or were martyred; was inspired by the culture and lessons - and I could go on and on. As an American (and we are completely ignorant of Turkic history, its peoples and the period), Dirilis Ertugral was an indescribable revelation. As such, i don't think it's really fair to compare Burak and Engin. Burak is doing a fine job, but is working within a vastly more limited tableau). Dirilis Ertugrul stands alone - sublime and profound, and Engin was perfect (as was the entire cast). It set the foundation for the story of Kurulus Osman, but there could only ever be One foundation!

Bozdag has kept it a secret. Its not about Burak....overall its a poor production...seems a sub standard copy of Ertrugul. Same events are planned....betrayal....no new theme. Aydabali is no equivalent to Ibn Arabi. Invincible trio of Ertrugul, Turgut and Bamsi could not be replicated.
